Later researchers consider these to be children of his son, David, Jr. From: Richard Wallace per Leroy Willie (see Mary Davies for source): On June 1790, sold property in Union Co. SC to Richard Waters. All sons fought in Rev. War under the command of Colonel Brandon. Willie source adds two additional sons, Isaac and Israel, not shown elsewhere. He and son David moved to Tuscaloosa AL in 1822. Subject of J.P.Kennedy novel "Horse Shoe Robinson" in 1835. Born in October. He married Sarah Morris HEADEN, married 4 Jun 1782,7 b. 17 Jul 1763 in VA,4 (daughter of William HEADEN and Jane _____), d. 7 Jan 1838 in Tuscaloosa Co. See family of William Headon (nw SC, ne GA) for numerous siblings. Her sister Jane married her husband's brother David Robertson. iii. Mathew ROBERTSON b. 1762,8 d. 1826 in Washington Pr. LA.9 An anonymous researcher (#4807) to the World Family Tree data bank (Vol. II) shows this Mathew to be the son on David Robertson, s. of Israel Robinson (~1698/<1760 Granville NC), s. of Nicholas Robinson (~1665/>1718 Prince Geo. VA). "#4807 used the spelling "Matthew" rather than "Mathew". This questions the ancestry of David,Jr. and James "Horse Shoe" as much as it does that of Mathew. #4807 shows Matthew's death as before 11 July 1827 in Washington LA. ERV shows birth location as Amherst Co. VA (CMW82), but this is questionable. He is believed to have come to LA around 1803 (ERV shows 1920). ERV shows DOD as 1844. WFT02 (Eric Wall) shows birthdate for Mathew as 1742 and his death as 1826. Place of death is shown as Tangipahoa Pr. but this may well be an area that changed names over time. 13 14 15 RBW02 (Leroy Willie) shows: b: 1752, married 1784, d. Sep 1926. Came to LA in 1802. Recorded in St. Tammany Pr. Census of 1812 where he had a farm north of Amite LA. Served 481 days during the Rev. War. He married Susan (Susannah) HOGAN, married 1784,10 b. 1762,10 d. 8 Oct 1846 in Washington LA.11 iv. Elijah ROBERTSON b. 1764,2 d. 1789. ERV shows birth location as Amherst Co. VA (CMW82). He is said to have been at the battle of Cowpens in the Revolutionary War but that is questionable. Several references say that Elijah died at Cowpens, but that is inconsistent with date of death. He married Susanah NORRIS, married 1785,12 b. ? in Farquire Co. VA.12 According to ERV(CMW82), Susannah, as a widow, drew land in the GA lottery of 1832. v. Mary ROBERTSON b. 1766.2 She married _____ DUBERRY, b. ?.2 vi. Jane ROBERTSON b. 1768,2 d. in LA.12 Died single. 5. Isaac3 ROBERTSON (James2, James1), b. in VA, d. in VA.
