Conditions of Entry
CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITTEE:
The Championship Committee shall consist of the Match Committee of the Belvoir Park Golf Club and
the Bendigo District Golf Association. In the absence of a full Championship Committee such members
thereof, as may be present at the time, may give a decision and any decision so given shall be
deemed to be a decision of the full Championship Committee. The Championship Committee shall
have sole management and control of the Championship with full power, at any time to alter or vary
the time or conditions of play.
ENTRIES:
Entries will be restricted to amateurs who hold a current Golf Australia Handicap and are members of
clubs affiliated with Golf Victoria, the Victorian Golf League or any other State Association recognised
by Golf Australia. Competitors cannot be aged higher than the age groupings at the time of the
championships conclusion. The Championship Committee shall have the right to refuse entry of any
person without being required to give any reason for such refusal. Entrance fees must be paid at the
time of entry. Any entrant may withdraw and have his entrance fee refunded providing that
notification is received by the time that entries close. Entries must be endorsed with a verification
signed by the Secretary or Officer of the entrant's club. The attached form should be used for this
purpose.
RULES:
The competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and
Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland, together with such local rules as are in force on the
course over which the competition takes place. If any dispute arises on any point, it shall be decided
by the Championship Committee whose decision is final. All players are required to adhere to the
Association's Code of Conduct for the duration of the competition.
TROPHIES:
The Gross & Nett winners of the Belvoir Park Junior Open Championship in each age division will each
receive a trophy & voucher, (Boys & Girls). No player is eligible to receive more than one (1) trophy,
but is eligible to win any novelty events in addition to any main prize.
PROTESTS:
Protests must be made to the Championship Committee no later than 10 minutes after conclusion of
the day's play. The decision of the Championship Committee shall be final in all matters relating to
the events.
DRAW & STARTING TIMES:
A draw for each day's play will be made by the Championship Committee. The Committee has the
power to amend the draw or substitute another player for any competitor who is not at the tee at the
time appointed to play. It may also alter the starting time for any player. However, it is a condition of
the competition, that, in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of
disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7, if the player arrives at his starting point, ready to play
within five minutes of his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the
first hole in stroke play instead of disqualification. In the event of bad weather, or for any other
reason the Championship Committee may either shorten the tournament or appoint another day or
days for completion of the Championship. Draw will be posted, (late Frid 15th May), on the club
website at; www.belvoirparkgc.com
TIES:
In the event of a tie or ties for the Championship (scratch event) play shall continue on a sudden

others until the winner is determined. Ties in the net events will be determined by count back.
SCORE CARDS:
Score cards signed by the marker and countersigned by the competitor must be returned to the
official scorers appointed by the Championship Committee as soon as possible.
