Signature of Parent OR Club Committee Member: ...................................... 2015 Junior Open Championship Conditions of Entry CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITTEE: The Championship Committee shall consist of the Match Committee of the Belvoir Park Golf Club and the Bendigo District Golf Association. In the absence of a full Championship Committee such members thereof, as may be present at the time, may give a decision and any decision so given shall be deemed to be a decision of the full Championship Committee. The Championship Committee shall have sole management and control of the Championship with full power, at any time to alter or vary the time or conditions of play. ENTRIES: Entries will be restricted to amateurs who hold a current Golf Australia Handicap and are members of clubs affiliated with Golf Victoria, the Victorian Golf League or any other State Association recognised by Golf Australia. Competitors cannot be aged higher than the age groupings at the time of the championships conclusion. The Championship Committee shall have the right to refuse entry of any person without being required to give any reason for such refusal. Entrance fees must be paid at the time of entry. Any entrant may withdraw and have his entrance fee refunded providing that notification is received by the time that entries close. Entries must be endorsed with a verification signed by the Secretary or Officer of the entrant's club. The attached form should be used for this purpose. RULES: The competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland, together with such local rules as are in force on the course over which the competition takes place. If any dispute arises on any point, it shall be decided by the Championship Committee whose decision is final. All players are required to adhere to the Association's Code of Conduct for the duration of the competition. TROPHIES: The Gross & Nett winners of the Belvoir Park Junior Open Championship in each age division will each receive a trophy & voucher, (Boys & Girls). No player is eligible to receive more than one (1) trophy, but is eligible to win any novelty events in addition to any main prize. PROTESTS: Protests must be made to the Championship Committee no later than 10 minutes after conclusion of the day's play. The decision of the Championship Committee shall be final in all matters relating to the events. DRAW & STARTING TIMES: A draw for each day's play will be made by the Championship Committee. The Committee has the power to amend the draw or substitute another player for any competitor who is not at the tee at the time appointed to play. It may also alter the starting time for any player. However, it is a condition of the competition, that, in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7, if the player arrives at his starting point, ready to play within five minutes of his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole in stroke play instead of disqualification. In the event of bad weather, or for any other reason the Championship Committee may either shorten the tournament or appoint another day or days for completion of the Championship. Draw will be posted, (late Frid 15th May), on the club website at; www.belvoirparkgc.com TIES: In the event of a tie or ties for the Championship (scratch event) play shall continue on a sudden death basis, players being eliminated hole by hole as they fail to maintain equality with other or others until the winner is determined. Ties in the net events will be determined by count back. SCORE CARDS: Score cards signed by the marker and countersigned by the competitor must be returned to the official scorers appointed by the Championship Committee as soon as possible. DRAW & RESULTS; The draw will be emailed to all players who provide their email address on the entry form. The full results for all grades will be posted on the club website asap, at; www.belvoirparkgc.com.au HONORARY MEMBERS: Competitors will be made Honorary Members of the Host Club for the duration of the Championship .
