Olive oil over the centuries
In the village Vouves of west Crete, for at least 2.500 – 3.000 years there is a tree which still
continues to give us fruits. It is the oldest living tree and probably the oldest in the whole world.
It has been declared natural monument by UNESCO and every four years before the start of the
Olympic Games with great solemnity cut an olive branch from the tree and give it to the winner
of the marathon contest.

Sgouromallis J. & Co was founded in 2003 with main activity the production, packaging and trading of quality formulation soaps and natural cosmetics based on precious olive oil. Motivated by
the beneficial properties of natural ingredients and the use of them in the personal grooming
and care, we initially developed the Kalliston products. Specifically, with basic material olive oil,
we promote traditional green soap by adding perfumes (lavender, rose, jasmine, pomegranate,
sandalwood, vanilla etc.), olive seeds, herb leaves and extracts of plants and herbs.
Sustained development of our products and the desire for more quality products in accordance with high consumer demand, led us to create the new range of certified natural cosmetics
products ELΩΤΙΑ. ELΩΤΙΑ cosmetic products based primary in organic olive oil, pomegranate
extracts, avocado oil and other natural and organic ingredients and perfumes by natural essential oils. The quality and composition of natural cosmetics ELΩΤΙΑ is validated by the european
Natrue organization, represented in Greece by BIOHELLAS.
The company operates mainly in the domestic tourism market, while exports to Cyprus and on
