Come out and enjoy kite flying every Sunday in April from 12:00 to 5:00. Bring your own kite or purchase
them at the Leatherwood Depot at the Arboretum. Bring a picnic lunch or purchase food and drinks at
the Arboretum. Enjoy additional activities for kids and a photo booth.

webmaster to be a part of this event! We are looking for volunteers to help the day run smoothly!
Come be a part of this great event!
Organizers say: FOF has two large sponsors this year: Missouri Credit Union Association (presenting)
and Kiewit. We also received two grants to help fund the event. One from the Truman Heartland
Foundation and one from Faith Outreach Foundation. We are very excited to have both this year.
During the event, we will have a balloon launch along with the mayors of Lee’s Summit, Grandview and
Raytown plus their staff to commemorate the Metropolitan Community College Centennial. There will
also be a classic car show in the Cultural Arts Center lot. We expect about 40 cars.
We will give away 1000 small kites, first come first served, to kids as they come on to campus.

Kauffman Center Second
Annual Future Stages Festival
on Sunday, June 28th
Future Stages Festival is open to the public on Sunday, June 28th from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. All ages
are welcome. No tickets are required.
Celebrating diversity in the arts, Future Stages Festival showcases youth in the performing arts. You’re
invited to attend the FREE community event which will include family-friendly interactive activities and
a diverse range of arts experiences for the whole family.
Future Stages Festival will be held at the Kauffman Center on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 11:00 am–4:00
pm. The one-day festival, an extension of the Kauffman Center’s Open Doors Spotlight on Youth
program, will also provide opportunities for youth and community arts organizations to perform on stage
at Kauffman Center.

below or by phone at 816.994.7222 to receive the latest event updates and schedule for performances
