The first annual English Trifle! Memorial Day Weekend: Saturday,May 23 through Monday, May 25, 2015 Come to the inaugural English Trifle at Timber Ridge Camp, in High View, WV. This brand new event begins at 2 on Saturday, so you won't have to fight Friday night holiday weekend traffic. We'll dance Saturday afternoon and evening, all day Sunday, and after brunch and a farewell session, we'll send you home in time to fix dinner and start the laundry. Lots of English Country Dance, of course. Workshops will include Dutch Crossing and a 16-dancer quadrille – details will be posted on the website as they are finalized. Featured callers are Scott Higgs, Gaye Fifer, and Tom Spilsbury. Eight excellent and skilled musicians will play in duos, trios, quartets – maybe even an octet on Sunday night! We are delighted to have Tina Chancey (violin, viol da gamba), Andrea Hoag (violin), Karin Loya (cello), Janet Muse (keyboard), Paul Oorts (mandolin, accordion), Charlie Pilzer (keyboard), Carrie Rose (flute), and Marty Taylor (winds, concertina). All meals are included, plus afternoon tea on both Saturday and Sunday. The Sunday tea will honor the 100 th anniversary of CDSS. And we'll have a "tea bag exchange" – bring your extra tea bags, and take a new assortment home with you!
