The catering manager will assist you with your pre-event planning including catering and room set-up. Assistance will also be provided on your special day. The Kelowna Yacht Club staff is not responsible for the set-up/tear-down of additional décor such as chair covers, table runners/cloths, sashes, draping, lighting or table center pieces. If you require additional assistance, additional staff may be provided at the expense of the event. KYC is not responsible for any bookings related to or required for your event such as DJ/band, florists, staging/décor set-up, marriage officiates & external rentals. Photo By: Kim Elsasser Décor By: Stage Right KYC Policies & Requirements A non-refundable deposit is required in order to secure all dates and the remainder of all charges are to be paid on the day of your event. Décor must be discussed and approved prior to your event, then cleaned up upon the conclusion of your event (No confetti, rose petals, tape, staples or tacks may be used at any time). The designated event organizer is responsible for all guests on Kelowna Yacht Club property from the time they arrive until the last guest departs and will be held accountable for all guests and their actions. Use of the Club Lounge and attached amenities are for members only and therefore are not available for use by event guests. Outside catering is not permitted with the exception of wedding cakes. Outside liquor/wine is not permitted in accordance with KYC’s liquor licence and BC liquor laws. All requirements must be finalized a minimum of four weeks prior to the event date. Once a contract has been signed, the cancellation of your event may be subject to cancellation fee. Food & Beverage: For each banquet event, one menu must be chosen for the entire group with the exception of guests with special dietary requirements. Menus can not be split for weddings. The menus in our package are suggested selections. We would be pleased to customize menus to suit any taste and occasion. All menus must be finalized a minimum of four weeks in advance. All food and beverage consumed in the private rooms must be purchased from the Club. The Club does not permit any leftover food or beverage to be removed from the premises. A cake cutting fee will be charged for all wedding cakes that require cutting and plated service to guests. In accordance with BC liquor laws, all alcoholic beverages consumed in licensed areas must be purchased by the club through the BC Liquor Distribution Board. Liquor service is not permitted after 1:00 am, 12:00 am on Sundays and holidays. Free soft drinks are available for designated drivers. Last call is 11:45 pm, the bar closes at 12:00 midnight, and the clubhouse must be vacated by 1:00 am. Music volume must be decreased at 11:00 pm, and doors must be kept closed. Music must be turned off at 12:00 midnight. It is the host's responsibility to book entertainment (recommendations may be suggested by KYC staff).
