Kingston Gets Active KGA is a community-‐wide initiative that raises awareness of the benefits of physical activity and helps to create and enhance opportunities that will enable our residents to be physically active on a regular basis. Activities that strengthen muscle and bone should be done at least 3 days per week. More daily physical activity provides greater health benefits. Examples of activities include walking, biking, skipping, swimming, dancing, skateboarding, and martial arts. What is the Activity Pass? Valid from November 1 until August 31, all grade 5 and 9 students in Kingston have free access to participating recreation facilities at designated times. The schedule is available on our website at www.KingstonGetsActive.ca Grade 5 students need their activity pass card, which they receive at school. Grade 9 students need their student card.
