Reason(s) for wanting to serve on the SGB:
I have one child at the school and next year his two younger brothers will be joining him. I
therefore have a vested interest in the school and would like to participate in the SGB to ensure
that a fair environment is created/maintained for each child to achieve his or her best. The
school could and should create an important and effective platform on which children can build
their future/destiny.
This I believe can be achieved by participating in setting and overseeing the implementation of a
framework of key policies around academics, sport and culture. The goal being to create and
maintain an environment to achieve this objective.
What are the important issues that you would like to address if you should be elected?
I don’t have a specific agenda, but do prescribe to a philosophy that individuals, young and old,
should be treated fairly. Therefore, my goal would be to ensure that decisions are made by the
governing body equate to what I believe is fair and equitable.
Fairness is not just a word, it’s concerned with actions, processes, and consequences that are
morally right, honourable and equitable. In essence, it affects all aspects of our children’s lives.
