Our Mission
We live in a universe - A universe that
has a set of laws, cycles, and patterns.
Learning and following these Ways of
the Universe will allow us to live smooth
and peaceful lives. However, we being
human, tend to live as we wish in our
human centered ways. When our
desires run into or against the Ways of
the Universe, going against it’s flow,
hardship or suffering on our part often
result.
The mission of the Konko Church of
Portland is to serve people and Kami
(The Spirit of the Universe) by:
Practicing a faith which is forced
upon you by others is a faith
which is not genuine.
A faith that is not your own is
easily lost. Practice true faith
with devotion.
Living in Harmony
with The Universe
