LNCS- Wenonah and Keewaydin Campus 05.01.2015 Good luck tomorrow to our History Day Students competing at the State Competition at the U of M! Next week is Wellness Week! o On Wednesday it is Walk/Bike to school day. Mr. Pritchard and Mr. O’Brien will be in the foyers handing out stickers and hi-fives. If you walk or bike to school on Wednesday you will be entered in a raffle at school. Prizes will be a bike lock, bike maps, jump ropes and 4 tickets to a Minnesota Twins game. o Cheer on the Keewaydin Double Dutch Team at the District Competition on Thursday, May 7 at Roosevelt High School from 5-7pm. o Next FRIDAY- we wrap up Wellness Week with a Woodlawn Neighborhood Walk. We are going to hike to school with some of the people who make our neighborhood great. We are expecting Mayor Hodges, firefighters, police officers and Minnesota Gopher Basketball Star Trent Tucker who is now our MPS Athletic Director. Don’t miss the Woodlawn Walk next Friday, May 8th. Wenonah is looking for a few volunteers: o May 12th 6-7:30 Kindergarten Registration. Greet our new students and assist our teachers in the kindergarten rooms as they introduce students to the classroom and take a bus ride. o Taste test- Friday, May 22nd 11:15-12:30 OR 12:30-1:45 Serve small samples of a special allergy-free organic and local salad prepared in partnership with Wise Acres Farms.
