Registering and Accessing the Site
1. Click here to access the registration page. The link will open in a new window or tab.
2. Click on I do not have a username and password and then click Submit.
3. You will see a list of available courses and sites. Click on the blue site title.
4. You will see a site description. Click Register.
5. You will be asked to enter your first name, last name and email address. This is the email address we
will use to send you updates, so make sure it is one you or someone you know can check. Once you
have filled in the boxes, choose Submit.

6. You will see a confirmation screen. Check to make sure there are no spelling mistakes in your name
or email. If there are, choose Back and correct them, if not, choose Finish.
7. You will see your Username and Password displayed. There is no way to recover these if you forget
them. Please write them down or copy them into a digital document for safekeeping. Once you have
recorded your login information, choose Login Now.

8. Enter your username and password from the last page in the appropriate box and then click Login.

9. You will be taken right to the site homepage. Take a minute and check out the News area for useful
information about exploring the site. Enjoy!

Logging In After You Register
1. Go to https://learn.viu.ca/
2. Enter the username and password you got when you registered and then click Login
3. You will see the “My Home” page. Look for the site under “My Courses” and click directly on it to
open it
