The REDKEN CHEMISTRY service is a 2-step professional in-salon deep conditioning system that is
designed to work in conjunction with the REDKEN HAIRCARE line, delivering simple solutions for specific
problems and creating a total service from backbar to retail.
DURING STYLIST CONSULTATION
 Everyone wants healthy, shiny, manageable hair! REDKEN CHEMISTRY is great for ALL
CLIENTS! During the client consultation the stylist will determine what the client’s hair needs –
such as strength, moisture, color protection, softness or frizz control.
AT THE SHAMPOO AREA
 STEP 1: SHOT PHASE
REDKEN CHEMISTRY offers six SHOT PHASE formulas to
address common hair needs including strength, moisture,
color protection, softness, and frizz control. For hair that
has multiple needs, the stylist can blend up to 3 Shot
Phase formulas.
SHOT PHASE contains specialized ingredients that
compensate for missing components in the hair due to hair
distress. Using proteins, natural oils and other nourishing
ingredients, SHOT PHASE supplies hair with a
concentrated dose of what it needs most.
The stylist will use the shot shaker to create truly customized formulas for each client. Your
expertise and client consultation skills will determine what combination the hair needs most.
STEP 2: SHOT PHIX
After the stylist applies the customized SHOT PHASE in Step 1, the next necessary step is
SHOT PHIX. This acidic spray-on lotion is formulated with REDKEN'S exclusive Interbond
Conditioning System to help lock in the specialized ingredients contained in the SHOT PHASE
formulas onto the hair. SHOT PHIX also reduces swelling of the hair by rebalancing the pH
level and helps to seal the cuticle to leave hair in its most compact, healthy condition. The
stylist will choose either 3.5 SHOT PHIX, or 5.5 SHOT PHIX depending on the hair needs.

Depending on what REDKEN CHEMISTRY Shots were used during the service, there should also be a
home care recommendation made to continue the benefits at home.

 “We now offer a Conditioning Hair Cut. We feature a customized deep
conditioning system called Redken Chemistry, it helps provide strength,
moisture, color protection, softness and frizz control. It’s especially great
if you use blow dryers, curling irons, or if your hair is colored or
highlighted.
Our regular Hair Cut starts at $40 ($ based on the level), and the
customized Conditioning Hair Cut is only $55 ($ based hair cut + $ of
treatment).”

BOOKING PROCEDURES
 A conditioning cut is scheduled for _______ . (15 min more than regular
hair cut). This allows for the stylist to complete a thorough consultation,
and specifically customize the REDKEN CHEMISTRY formula needed to
best benefit the client’s hair.



