2015 LEGIS LEAGUE MEDAL FINALS SPECIFICATIONS All riders must earn a minimum of four points to be qualified for the finals. 2015. LEGIS League Mini Medal (2’0”) Riders in the Finals may not never have shown over fences exceeding 2'9" in the past three years To be shown over not less than seven fences 2’0” in height; oxers optional. No combinations. The Finals consist of two rounds and a work off of the top four. To be judged by at least one judge, and preferably two sitting together. The score from Round 1 will be averaged with the score from Round 2. Scores will not be announced for the work off, and the score from the work‐off will be added to the averaged score. The winner of the Final is not eligible to ride in the class in the future. LEGIS League Cornerstone Medal (2’6”) Riders in the Finals may not have shown over fences 3’ and higher in the past three years. To be shown over not less than eight fences 2’6” in height; spreads not to exceed fence height. No combinations. The Finals will be run under the same structure as the LEGIS League Mini Medal. LEGIS League Children’s Medal (3’0”) Riders in the Finals may never have shown at 3'6" or higher To be shown over not less than eight fences 3’0” in height; spreads not to exceed fence height. Course must include at least one combination and two changes of direction after the first fence. The Finals will be run under the same structure as the LEGIS League Mini Medal. LEGIS League Adult Medal (3’0”) Riders in the Finals may never have shown at 3'6" or higher. To be shown over not less than eight fences 3’0” in height; spreads not to exceed fence height. Course must include at least one combination and two changes of direction after the first fence. The Finals will be run under the same structure as the LEGIS League Mini Medal. LEGIS League Jumper Medal ( 3’3”) Open to junior and amateur riders. The class must be held in the jumper ring using jumper fences over a course similar to what would be used for Children’s and Adult Amateur Jumpers. To be shown over a course of not less than eight obstacles at 3’3” (1.0m) with spreads to 3’9” (exception: triple bars, max spread 4’6”). The course must include at least one double combination, and a minimum of three oxers at 1.0m. A Liverpool may be part of the course, but an option jump must also be provided. Start and finish markers will be used. Time allowed will be calculated at 350 meters per minute and may be timed manually or electronically. Rules regarding Time to Start (JP134.3 and .4) and Starting and Stopping (JP135.1) will apply. Riders will be judged on style, technical merit, and execution of an efficient, time saving pace and track. Automatic deductions for knockdowns and exceeding the time allowed: 1 point for each knockdown and 1 point for each commenced second over the Time Allowed. Judges are asked to consider striding options and not penalize options used to achieve the best results possible for that horse and rider combination. Two cumulative refusals will result in elimination. The Finals will consist of two rounds and a work off. The First Round course will be a standard Table II style course, and the Second Round will be a standard Table II, Section 1 course (Speed). In the second round, riders will be judged on their equitation while using ground saving and time saving techniques as if in a speed class. The top four will return for a work off. The scoring will be the same as the LEGIS League Mini Medal Finals.
