Laker High School is pleased to announce the Class of 2015 valedictorian,
salutatorian, and top honor students. Stacey M. Elliott has earned Valedictorian honors
with a GPA of 4.362. Kalyn M. Wurst has earned the Salutatorian honors with a GPA of
4.335.
Valedictorian Stacey M. Elliott is the daughter of Jonathan and Robin Elliott of
Pigeon.
Stacey has earned special academic achievement medals in Algebra, English,
Health, Chemistry, Advanced Math, and multiple All A’s All Year. She has also received
certificates in Geometry, Computer Science, Government, Industrial Arts, English, and
World History.
Stacey has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years. She
has participated in Concert Band, Marching Band, and Pep Band all four years. Stacey
has also participated in Solo and Ensemble, Theatre, Choir, and Science Olympiad.
She is currently enrolled in the Mid-Michigan Community College Dual Enrollment
Program at the Huron Area Technical Center and is earning college credits.
In the fall Stacey will be attending Ferris State University. She plans to major in
Pharmaceuticals.
Salutatorian Kalyn M. Wurst is the daughter of Chris and Shelly Wurst of Bay
Port.
Kalyn has earned special academic achievement medals in Geometry, Health,
Anatomy, Physiology, Forensic Science, and multiple All A’s All Year. She has also
received certificates in English, Biology, Chemistry, and Lab Science.
Kalyn participated in softball all four years and volleyball for three years. She
has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years and a member of the
Youth Advisory Committee. Kalyn has served as Student Council Vice President and
Secretary. Currently, she is enrolled in the Mid-Michigan Community College Dual
Enrollment Program at the Huron Area Technical Center earning college credits.
Kalyn is a member of Bay Port United Methodist Church and a Volunteer at
Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care.
In the fall Kalyn will be attending Michigan State University. She plans to major
in Human Biology specializing in Dermatology.

4.259, Racheal is the daughter of Bryan and Jamie Parrish of Owendale. Shiya R.
McKnight with a GPA of 4.246, Shiya is the daughter of Tena Brier of Pigeon. Tyler D.
Wolschlager with a GPA of 4.190, Tyler is the son of Ken and Elizabeth Wolschlager of
Owendale. Morgan P. Fitzpatrick with a GPA of 4.128, Morgan is the daughter of
William and Lisa Fitzpatrick of Caseville. Seth M. Randall with a GPA of 4.114, Seth is
the son of Melissa Randall of Elkton and Shane Randall of Bad Axe. Kaitlyn A.
Reinhardt with a GPA of 4.104, Kaitlyn is the daughter of Jason and Patricia Reinhardt
of Pigeon. Emma R. Maust with a GPA 4.092, Emma is the daughter of Brent and
Emily Maust of Bay Port. Josette L. Born with a GPA of 4.061, Josette is the daughter
of Randall and Terri Born of Elkton.
