Information from Margate Resource Officer Lombardo: Car Loop Drop Off/Pick Up Guidelines
In order to ensure the safety of the children at school please adhere to the following when dropping off/picking up your child:
- Please pay attention to traffic direction by the staff members and SRO.
- Please pull all the way forward without leaving large gaps between cars.
- Students have their belongings ready to go before stopping to exit the car.
- All students should exit (8-10) cars, once coming to a complete stop.
- Please have students exit from the right side of your car, if you need assistance please ask a staff member to help you.
- Students may NOT be dropped off in parking lot area to walk by themselves through the parking area, this is not safe for students.
-Please do not drop students off on Banks Rd. This is extremely dangerous due to the high volume of traffic in the mornings.
- If you are in the car line please do not park and get out of your car.
- You may park in the parking lot and walk your child across the crosswalk to the front door of the school.
- Do not pull your car up in the parking lot to walk your child to the front door-park in a parking spot.
- Please use our crosswalk as opposed to crossing between the cars when walking to and from your car to the school.
- Please do NOT use your cellphone while in the car line.
- When picking up students after school please pull all the way forward (to the crosswalk) especially if you arrive early.
Thank you for you cooperation!
