Gates open and inspections start at 12:00 pm and closes at 5:30 pm. No Exceptions! The show
will start at 6:30 pm.

General Rules: (Applies to all Classes)
-All Driver's must be 16 year's of age. Driver's under 18 year's of age must have parent's consent
and be with driver at time of registration check in to sign a insurance wavier form.
-Any passenger car or station wagon with a wheel base over 109” may be entered in the full size
class with the following exceptions: No hearses, limo’s, four wheel drives, 1973 and older
Chrysler Imperials, or vehicles using a 1973 and older Imperial sub frame. Full Size pickup truck/
van class is limited to nothing bigger than a 2500 series. If it’s a four wheel drive you may only
run one drive shaft.
-All glass, plastic, chrome, lights, carpet, interior, and other fragile or flammable items must be
removed before arriving at the track. Interiors and trunks must be swept clean.

-All air bags and charge canisters must be removed.
-All rear seats and decking must be removed.
-All trailer hitches and bracing must be removed.
-Must have working seat belts securely attached to the vehicle.
-Must have working brakes.

-You can run up to 2 batteries.
⁃
-Batteries may be mounted securely and covered on the passenger compartment floor
board.
-Original gas tank must be removed on all full size cars and trucks and metal marine style
tank or fuel cell must be in place behind the front seat. It must be secured and covered to
protect the driver.
-No plastic fuel tanks allowed!
-Compacts and Mini Vans only may leave and use the original gas tank if its ahead of the rear
axle.
-Fuel line may be relocated from the stock position and run entirely in the passenger area. Must
be secured properly and have leak proof fittings.
-Electric fuel pumps allowed, but must have an ON/OFF switch mounted close to the steering
column and easily accessible from outside of the vehicle if stock ignition switch does not control
power to pump.
-Radiators may be removed but not relocated. No reserve tanks or alterations to the cooling
system.
-If you choose to run a transmission cooler outside of the radiator it must be securely mounted in
a protected position with leak proof fittings.
-Two safety bars are required in the front windshield opening. Chain or #9 wire is acceptable, but
must be securely fastened to the firewall and roof line only. They must be a minimum of 18 inches
apart.
-Every vehicle must have a number clearly visible on the front doors.
-Roof signs allowed, but must be mounted ahead of halo bar.
-Absolutely no split rims, wheel weights, bead locks, or studded tires allowed. Solid and doubled
tires are welcome, we don’t want flats.
-Valve stem guards and multi bolt center rims allowed.
-All doors, trunks and tailgates must be fastened shut with either wire, straps, chains or welded.
-Doors, deck Lids and tailgates may be welded 5” on, 5” off, outside seams only. Metal strapping
is not to exceed 3" wide by 1/8" thick metal.
-Driver's door may be welded solid with the same size strap or just a solid weld. -Do not stack or
overlap plate. If you try to extend the plate to make the car stronger in any way, it will be
demanded that you cut the extended part completely off. This plate is just to keep the doors shut
only!!
-Hoods must have a 10 inch hole in the center.
-Hoods must be open at inspection for all classes.
-At any point in time that we decide a vehicle is deemed unsafe we have the right to DQ the
vehicle.
-Drivers must remain in their seats at all times while the derby is in progress. Failure to follow this
rule can and will result in immediate disqualification.
Full size and Compact CLASS RULES:
Below you will find a list of options you have to build a car if you choose to alter the stock
configurations. If your vehicle does not pass tech and your not willing to make the corrections the
way the demo officials want then you just bought the most expensive pit pass we offer. Do not
read these rules trying to find grey areas and do not read between the lines because you are only
setting yourself up for failure. We will enforce these rules very, very strictly and the Head
Inspector’s say is final!
**Absolutely no: transmission protectors, or tranny case modifications.**
Frames:
-No pinning, filling, stuffing of frames.
-No frame shaping allowed other than 12 inches in the center of the rear humps. 6 inches in front
of axle center line and 6 inches behind. If you take it to the point of ripping or tearing the metal
you will not be allowed to weld it back up. That’s your fault not ours.
-Rear humps may be chained. Do not not weld links together to create a bar affect.
-Pre ran’s will be allowed to plate 2 bends. Plates only allowed on a visible bend and cannot be
bigger than a 4”x6”x1/4”. If you go bigger be prepared to cut!!!
-Plates also must be a minimum of 8 inches apart!!
-You may notch or dimple frame in rear.
-NO HUMP PLATES ALLOWED.
-You may weld top frame seams only from firewall forward ½” wide weld bead max.
-You may pitch, tilt or tip 80’s and newer style cars but it must be done in one (1) of three
(3) ways:
(a) You may cold pitch, no added metal.
(b) You may cut 3 of the 4 flaps at the crush box, dropped the front frame section and re welded
JUST THOSE 3 flaps. Do not re-weld any other crush box seams, no adding metal.(c) You may
cold pitch at the transmission cross member, and you may weld a 5 inch piece of angle within 10”
from factory location to mount your cross member. Cross members must run straight across. You
may convert 2003 and newer fullsize ford engine cradles to steel by ethier welding one in out of a
older car or replacing it with a approved bolt in steel cradle call Ken @ (585)447-7939 to find
out which bolt in steel cradles will be allowed. 80 and newer GM models may notch and tilt
rear frame rails. You may re-weld the two (2) vertical notches back together on each frame rail
by a single pass weld do not plate over notch. DO NOT RE-WELD TOP NOTCHES BACK
TOGETHER ONLY THE SIDES. If your car has frame damage (Rust) you may fix it but repair
metal must be no thicker than stock OEM frame thickness and repairs must be butt welded in no
overlapping allowed. Questions call Ken at(585) 447-7939 to get the OK to do so.
-Do not paint or undercoat frames if you do so you will not even be inspected you will be
loaded!
Bumper/Bumper Mounting:
-Any factory car bumper or DEC bumper will be allowed does not have to match make or model.
-Any front bumper bracket may be used on any car.
-Absolutely no bracket or shock may be welded past 6 inches behind the factory core support
mount hole on the frame rail. If your cars factory shock or bracket goes farther than 6 inches
back, it must remain completely factory beyond the allotted 6 inches.
-Bumpers may be welded directly to ends of frame. (Hard nosed)
-Bumper seam welding is permitted.
-Bumper shocks and brackets may be welded to the bumper and the frame and no additional
metal may be used.
-No welding of bumper to body.
-No rear bumper brackets permitted on front of car.
-Bumper/Ride Height is 22” to bottom of bumper. If you choose to not run a bumper the height will
be measured from body mount elevation. If a official feels that the vehicle's ride height is to low
and could be a safety issue you will be asked to adjust.
Suspension and Steering:
-Suspension must remain factory unless otherwise noted.
-Upper A arms may be welded or chained down. You may weld a ¼ “ X 2” X 2” piece of steel on
front and back side of upper a arm and you may plug weld the center of the A Arm. Lower AArms may not be welded.
-You can change out the new style A-arms to old style ones.
-Factory size, number and stagger will apply to cars with factory leaf springs.
-You may add 2 clamps in front of rear axle and 2 in rear. Max of 2 bolts per clamp. Bolts can’t be
bigger 3/8” and clamps can only be 2 inches wide. No welding or duct taping of springs.
-Rear shock must be a factory made shock No home made or solid shocks permitted.
-Coil spring cars may use square tubing for trailing arms they must be in factory location No
relocating trailing arms permitted. You may use 2” x 2” square tubing or 2” pipe for rear trailing
arms. Watts link cars can be switched over to 4 link call for details (585)447-7939.
-Rear suspension may be chained down. Do not weld the chain links together. Do not use
strapping of any kind for this.
-You may reinforce or pipe your tie rods, but ends must be OEM car origin stock.
-Do not replace joints with bolts.
-Steering column modifications will be allowed from the steering wheel to the Steering gearbox.
-Steering gear box adapter plates allowed.
-No ball joint blocks or guards allowed.
Drive Train:
-Any motor or transmission in any vehicle.
-Transmission floor shifters allowed. Make them safe.
-Engine cradles, and pulley protectors are allowed, but must not go past the third spark plug from
the front. All your basic Robbo, Big Rock, XXX cradles are allowed.
- Distributor protectors are allowed, but they can not be touching any part of the firewall in anyway
you must have atleast a 1/4” gap between firewall and protector.
-Solid lower engine mounts are allowed. If you need to weld plates under your lower mounts
because they won't sit on engine cross member that's fine, but they must not be attached to the
frame rails.
-If you choose to chain you engine in, the chains must only be attached to the engine and straight
down to engine cross member.
-Exhaust may exit from under car or up through hood.
-Skid plates must be just for the pan they are protecting and can’t extend more than a ½” from there
pan.
-Absolutely no transmission case modifications. Cases must remain entirely factory.
-If you choose to not run the factory transmission cross member you may use 2”x2” tubing instead.
It must mount in factory make and model location.
-If your car is factory equipped with a floating cross member (example: mid 70’s Fords and 74 and
older Cadillacs) you may add TWO 5/8” bolts and bolt it solid to floor. Washers cannot exceed 4”x4”
diameter!!! This will be extremely strictly enforced!!!
-Slider shafts are allowed.
-Any factory 5 lug car or truck rear end is allowed. You may weld brackets on the rear end to
accommodate the vehicles factory suspension style.
-Rear end braces allolwed.
Safety Cage:
-A 4 point safety cage may be used. Bars must be sheet metal to sheet metal. Bars must be
single bars, not stacked or doubled. Bar,s must be at least 5" from the center of the fire wall, and
floor at any point including transmission and driveshaft tunnels. You may use channel or tubing
up to 6" for the door bars. Total length is not to exceed 60". This bar may not be more than 18"
behind the center post on 4 door cars and 10" behind the door seam on 2 door cars - no
exceptions. Dash bar and seat bars may not exceed 4". NO DOWN BARS OR KICKERS
ALLOWED TO FLOOR OR FRAME. Seat bar must be no further than 6" behind the seat. NO
kickers or any other cage components may be welded to the frame or floor pan. All cage
components must be in the interior of the car, not inside the door structure. You may add a halo
bar to the cage components listed above. It may nor exceed 3" in diameter. Halo bars must be in
a direct vertical line with the seat bar. Halo bar may NOT be angled toward the rear of the car,
they must be vertical. Trucks are the only exception to this rule; they may put the halo bar in the
very front part of the bed. Front window bar can not be connected to halo bar. Compact class
cars and full size class cars only may run a gas tank protector. No protector's Allowed in
Station wagons.
-Gas tank protectors must be 8 inches away from the rear firewall/rear shelf area below speaker
deck. they can not be resting against rear sheet metal. The bars must be in the center seat bar
and run straight back and be no wider than 24”. Rear half of protector must be free floating in
front of rear sheet metal area. Bars can not rest against or touch rear sheet metal you
must half a 8” gap. No down/kicker bars to floor or frame.
Body Mounts and Hardware:
-Body rubber bushings may be removed and body may be bolted tight to frame.
-Body bolts may be replaced with 5/8” bolts, with 3" top and bottom metal washer.
-Washers are not to exceed 3" x 3” ¼” thick max.
-Do NOT weld the body washers to the floor or frame. All washers must be free floating No
welding washers to the body and/or frame and bottom washers must remain inside frame do not
relocate them on outside of frame. -You may add 2 extra body mount bolts in a traditional
manner.
Body:
-All doors, trunks and tailgates must be fastened shut with either wire, straps, chains or welded.
-Doors, deck Lids and tailgates may be welded 5” on, 5” off, outside seams only. Metal strapping
is not to exceed 3" wide by 1/8" thick metal.
-Driver's door may be welded solid with the same size strap or just a solid weld.
-Pre bending of body is allowed.
-Smash topping of station wagons is allowed.
-No flat wedging sedans or station wagon roofs must have 10 inches of space between trunk
pan and trunk lid on sedans. Station wagon must have a 10” gap from its roof to the highest point
of its floor pan sheet metal no welding roofs to quarter panels. Tail light panels must stay vertical
on sedans.
-Body creasing, enhancing of existing body lines and addition of body lines is allowed. DO NOT
FOLD THE METAL OVER TO CREATE A DOUBLED EFFECT. RELOCATION OF THE
SPEAKER DECKS IS NOT ALLOWED IT MUST REMAIN IN THE STOCK LOCATION. NO
RELOCATION OF ANY SHEETMETAL OR COMPONENTS.
-Hoods must be bolted down in 2 spots no more than 6 with ½” to 1” diameter bolts.
-Hood washer max is 4x4. Front 2 hood bolts run down through radiator support and bolt in the
factory support mount holes.
-A 10"xl0" hole must be cut in center of hood and trunk lid for inspection and fire safety.
-Wheel well openings may cut out and folded up. Cut outs may be bolted with (6) - 3/8 diameter
bolts and washers per wheel.

SUV/ MINI VAN AND PICKUP TRUCK DEMO RULES
*SAME GENERAL RULES APPLY AS STATED FOR OTHER CLASSES*
1.
There will be a full size truck and van heat. Full size trucks can be ½ or 3/4 ton and may be regular or extended cab. Suburbans, and full size blazers and broncos will be allowed.
2.
There will be a small/mini (S-­‐10, Ranger, Dakota, etc.) truck and SUV s/10 blazers, jeep, etc.) heat. Small trucks may be regular or extended cab. Suv’s and mini pick ups will run separate from the full size.
3.
Any 4x4 truck or suv must be made to be 2-­‐wheel drive only. 4.
You may run a dash, seat and halo bar. (4” O.D. Max) 5.
A screen will be placed behind the driver’s head in the back window. This is Mandatory!
6.
Rear bumper must be secured to the frame. The bumper may be bolted or welded solid to the frame. If the bumper comes off during the heat you will be disqualified.
7.
No car or home made bumpers allowed.
8.
The bed of the truck can be re-­‐bolted to the frame( 5/8” dia. Bolt max).
9.
The boat tank is to be in the bed against the cab in the center. The tank is to be securely fastened to the bed. It must have a cover (55 gal. tank cut in half for example), which is to be strapped down after inspection of tank.
10.
Air bags and canisters must be removed.
11.
Tailgate must be strapped or welded to the box sides.
12.
Hoods must be held down with 2 bolts: half inch to one-­‐inch diameter threaded rods. 13.
Hoods must be open for inspection.
14.
Batteries can be placed on the front passenger floor. If moved inside, battery must be secured to the floor inside of a steel box with the cables going through the firewall. The box must be grounded to the body of the car with a nonmetallic cover.
15.
Transmission floor shifters allowed. (must be safe)
16.
Fuel lines must run outside under cab on all pick up models..
17.
No adding leaf springs. You may add 2 extra spring clamps per spring pack.
18.
No welding of the frame or to the frame (exception-­‐ front and rear bumper ).
19.
Driver’s door may be welded solid. All others are allowed 12” per seam.
20.
Must have at least an 18” hole in the hood with no obstructions .
21.
There is no cutting or bending of the frame or body to relieve stress points. No pre bending off pick up boxes or smash topping of suburbans, vans and SUV’s.
22.
Trailer hitches and plow frames are not allowed. 23.
No liquid filled tires allowed. Any ply tire and valve stem guards will be allowed.
