Every spring is the only spring, a perpetual astonishment. –Ellis Peters
After our long, long winter, spring is finally here! It’s hard to believe we are
in fourth quarter. Report cards were sent home Tuesday. Please take time
to discuss with your child and set goals to end the year on a strong note.
To continue with our positive behavior program, students will participate in a
series of four lessons during extended homerooms beginning next week. The
lessons will address respecting each other, ethics, as well as organizational
and academic strategies.
To address safety concerns, we have created a traffic pattern in our lower
parking lot for those of you who drive your students to school. Please stay
in a single line marked by the traffic cones and move forward in line.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR STUDENT HAS TISSUES WITH HIM/HER.
Send in a box for the class!
On Wednesday, April 22, our students will vote for the next Student
Member of the Board during homeroom. Also, next week, students will be
able to purchase tickets at lunch for Lime Flicks for next Friday evening .
The End of Year PARCC assessments begin next week:
Sixth grade: Monday, 4/20 and Tuesday 4/21
Seventh grade: Friday, 4/24 and Monday 4/27
Eight grade: Tuesday, 4/28 and Wednesday 4/30
Please make sure your student comes to school on time.
Enjoy the weekend!
FROM THE HEALTH ROOM:
**IMPORTANT – NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS**

have already received these immunizations, but the Health Room may not
have the updated immunization record. Please contact your child’s doctor

LIMETIME IS GEARING UP!!!
… and we need the LKMS community’s help! What is LimeTime? It’s The
PTA’s annual, end-of-the-year picnic for all of the LKMS students. There
are food, music, games, and fun for all LKMS students, but it cannot happen
without volunteers, like you!
Save the date for Wednesday, May 27 from 3-5:30 pm. We need lots of
hands to make this a memorable event for all of our students. Volunteers are
needed for the following: Planning Committee; Set up crew; Clean-up crew;
Coaching/Supervising games and sport activities; Food organization,
preparation and service; and Medical Tent; Security; Crafts; and
