Meet Penny Lane, LOUDONVILLE ’s Puppy with a
Purpose.
We would like to welcome Penny
Lane, the newest (and furriest)
family member to Loudonville
Assisted Living Residence.
At only eight weeks old, Penny a
full-bread Golden Retriever is
bursting with energy and an
endless source of love.
“Watching her greet the residents
with kisses in the morning is really
magical. There is something truly
special about Penny.
Her temperament is perfect for
our home here,” says Rhea, Ms.
Penny’s owner who brings her
home on nights and weekends.
Rhea, staff and specialists will train
Penny to become the very best
house dog she can be. And, if all
goes as planned, when Penny turns
1 she will take and pass her Therapy
Dog’s International (TDI)
temperament exam and become a
certified therapy dog!
NAME: PENNY LANE LEVINE
Penny brings smiles to many faces as
she reminds our residents of dogs
they’ve had in their past and the
joyous moments experienced with
them. We are all looking forward to
creating new moments of joy with
Penny as she learns more about the
world every day here at Loudonville.
For your weekly dose of Ms.
Penny and all her puppy
charm, follow us on

th
Memory Care 10 Anniversary
We can’t believe it’s been 10 years since the
Gerald Levine Center for Memory Care opened
its doors. In this time, there have been
incredible strides made in the understanding of
and fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
Approximately 44 million people are living with
dementia worldwide. By 2050 that number is
expected to triple, affecting 115 million.
Brain games such as cards and crossword
puzzles are proven to increase brain function
and in turn decrease your risk for Alzheimer’s.
Try your hand at the crossword puzzle here.

WELCOME BACK SPRING!
Well its official-the blistery
winter mornings have
given way to the sound of
chirping birds outside our
window.
And, in the name of spring
the Loudonville Assisted
Living Residence has a
calendar pack full of
colorful events and
springtime fun.
FROM LAST MONTH
Spring is the perfect time
to get your hands dirty and
start planting that summer
garden. Here at
Loudonville, we will be
planting indoor flower and
herb gardens and crafting
spring flower wreaths.
Soon enough, the tulips
will be in full bloom!
We are especially exited to
welcome Carrin Swanson
this spring as our memory
care program manager.
Every morning you will find
Carrin and residents
strolling amongst the
springtime bloom during
Walking Group.
