We feel the weight of our sin, but we forget that you offer forgiveness and pardon. We are frustrated by our constant struggle with sin, but we forget that we are being daily molded into the image of Christ. Forgive us for being reluctant to draw near to you and your Word. Forgive us for so easily forgetting the good news of the gospel. Remind us that because Christ chose to dwell among sinful humanity, we may dwell with him for eternity. In the atoning name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Departing to Show Forth the Love of Our Savior *LEAVING THE TABLE Before the Throne of God Above (v. 3) *BENEDICTION PRAYING FOR AND RECEIVING GRACE *Let us stand together before the LORD *Let us stand together before the LORD Our Purpose in Hernando Our Vision: Christ Covenant seeks to worship God in Hernando as a missional community that is committed to love, train, and serve others in Jesus Christ! Our Focus: Christ Covenant will gather to worship the God of Scripture, intentionally nurture our fellowship in Christ, and thoughtfully serve the people of Hernando in DeSoto County. Our Values: We have three core values which give us hope and shape our vision at Christ Covenant: • We believe the Gospel of Christ is the power of God unto new life, which is able to transform any individual, community, and city. • We believe the Church is the body of Christ, which is the focused community of God for gathering and sanctifying His people in this world. • We believe the Kingdom of Christ is His rule and authority over all things, which promises to bring peace (shalom) in heaven and upon the earth.
