A Letter froM the ViCe-president
April - May 2015
Sherry Pope
If the Lynchburg Art Club needs
enthusiasm, just spend some time with
our President, Christian Williams. It has
been a wonderful year working along
with him. It still amazes me at what
he can accomplish.
help our Club. There are many areas
where we NEED people, but any
talents you are willing to share will be
welcomed. You need to think about
where you can contribute, because calls
will be going out in the near future.
The success of any organization depends
on the dedication, caring and enthusiasm
of all its members. We are lucky to
have so many dedicated members that
go above and beyond that which is
required of them because they care
about art and the Lynchburg Art Club.
Many of these members have served in
the same capacity for many years. They
need a break! We need your help! We
need your ideas!
No one person has to take on the
responsibilties of a whole committee.
Team Up! That would be fun!
So, be thinking about what you can do

Be on the lookout for your Membership
Renewal Letter. I cannot believe it, but
another club year is about to come to
a close. The new year begins in June.
Thank you again, for everything each
one of you do. All is appreciated and
nothing goes unnoticed.

Meet the Artist — Annette M. KinseY (ChenAuLt)
Above, Annette M. Kinsey. Right, Two of Annette’s Paintings
Roger Elliott, and art classes under teacher Wendy
Richardson in Appomattox County.
My discovery of art started in childhood through
my mother and her interest in painting. She and I
took instruction in the oil medium under John
Mogle, an artist and teacher in the Buckingham
County schools system. During my teenage years I
discovered watercolors and painted in this medium
for many years. I took the commercial art
curriculum at Central Virginia Community College
with instruction under teachers John Black and
I began experimenting with soft and oil pastels in
2004. My work developed under the influence of
teachers Christine Rooney and Ron Boehmer, two
Lynchburg artists, who are in national publications.
I value the techniques of my teachers, also those
of Hopper, Daubigny, Renoir, Corot and many other
impressionists artists.— Welcome to New Lynchburg Art Club Members!!
