M-1 RAIL URGENT: I-94 Freeway will be closed for Structural Steel Instillation WHERE Zone 12 I-94 Freeway What you will see (Friday, March 13, 2015 – Monday, March 16, 2015): * I-94 Freeway between I-75 and M-10 will be closed for the Structural Steel Instillation for the I-94 Bridge. The work will begin Friday, March 13th 2015 at 9:00 p.m. and be completed Monday, March 16th 2015 at 5:00 a.m. Traffic will resume, and freeway ramps (with the exception of the John R St./Woodward Ave. ramps) will be open. Alternative Routes Heading Eastbound via I-94 o Take I-94 Freeway to M-10 North and exit at West Grand Blvd./Milwaukee St. (Exit 4C) – make a left on West Grand Blvd. to arrive at Woodward Ave. o Take I-94 Freeway to M-10 South and exit at Forest Ave./Warren Ave. (Exit 3) – make a left on Forest Ave. to arrive at Woodward Ave. or make a left on M-10 Service Drive, and turn right on W. Warren Ave. to arrive at Woodward Ave. OR Heading Westbound via I-94 o Take I-94 Freeway to I-75 North and exit at Warren Ave. (Exit 53A) – make a left on Warren Ave. to arrive at Woodward Ave. o Take I-94 Freeway to I-75 South and exit at Warren Ave. (Exit 53A) – make a right on Warren Ave. to arrive at Woodward Ave. What you will see (Monday, March 16, 2015 – Late 2015): Woodward Ave. between Kirby St. and Baltimore St. (Zones 11-13) Traffic control on Woodward Ave. over I-94 Bridge – traffic will continue to be in north-bound lanes o 1 lane will serve north-bound traffic o 1 lane will serve south-bound traffic o Left turns will be allowed John R St./Woodward Ave. ramps, east and west will remain closed until late 2015 Traffic control barriers Limited street parking Additional Important Details I-75 freeway is an alternative to using I-94 during its bridge demolition Pedestrian traffic will be limited in some areas along Woodward Ave. Cars parked along Woodward Ave. will be towed.
