Always check to see if you have the latest firmware loaded before installing!
Module options and firmware check should be configured before installation. MSConnect can be
downloaded from the following link: https://machtschnell.com/media/usb/msconnect.zip
1. If you see the install driver dialog, click "locate and install driver software". If a similar driver is
already installed, you might not see this dialog at all, as windows recognizes the device automatically.
Windows 7 and Vista always find the driver automatically using Microsoft's driver service. Just
make sure the laptop is connected to the internet and wait.
2. Download our "MSConnect" software from the main page and place it on your desktop. You can also
directly click RUN if you do not want to save it locally. This program DOES NOT need to be installed and
DOES NOT make ANY changes in your Windows registry. It can safely be deleted after use. The "Online
Manual" button leads back to the main page with this manual on it.
3. Plug in module with provided USB cable. After clicking the "Connect" button the product type and
currently installed firmware will be shown in the log window.
4. To search for a firmware update, first click the "Firmware" tab followed by the "Check for Update"
button. This launches an online request to our update server and shows the result.
5. After clicking the "Settings" tab (1) the personal preferences can be adjusted conveniently on the
PC or written back to the module after a firmware-update. The "Settings Matrix" button opens our always upto-date online functions and settings sheet for this module and firmware version. IMPORTANT: After a
successful firmware update please verify all settings for validity. New settings might have been
added or old ones removed! Lastly, click on "Write to Module" to save the currently shown settings into
the module.
6. To end communication with the module, go back to the "USB Connection" tab and click
"Disconnect". Wait until the log window shows "Disconnected!" before closing down the program and
disconnecting the USB cable.

Module Configuration (Vehicle)
Module settings can also be changed while in the vehicle. Pressing/holding the START
button (footbrake released) for +5 seconds will enable programming mode.
To Change current function's setting, tap BC button briefly. To move to the next
Function, press the BC button for +1 second.
The left blinker flash count on the instrument cluster will indicate which function the
module is in; the right blinker indicates the setting. For example, 3 left flashes and 3
right flashes indicate that the Active Sound Mute option is muted with the Flap closed
only. The tachometer needle also serves as a visual indicator of the feature/settings.
Pressing the start button again will exit the menu and save the desired settings. If no
buttons are pressed within 30 seconds, the module will exit and save settings
automatically.

Module Operation
speed through power
All Exhaust valve operation is controlled by the BC stalk on the steering wheel column.
Changes can be made with the ignition on or “on the fly” while driving. Press/holding
the BC button for approximately 2 seconds will operate the desired setting.
EVC Settings
Left Turn Indicator (single flash) = Exhaust Valve Open
Right Turn Indicator (single flash) = Exhaust Valve Open
Both Turn Indicators (single flash) = Auto/OEM Mode (factory behavior)
Note: Turn indicators will flash when in FUNCTION1/SETTING2 to confirm returning to OEM/AUTO mode
when vehicle is shut down. Flashers are only seen on instrument display and not on exterior lamps, so
changes can be made safely during driving.
Active Sound Muting
The option to mute Active Sound is available in a variety of options to suit one’s needs. This can be muted at
all times, only with valve flap open, or only with valve flap closed.
Comfort Closing upon locking
Comfort Closing will allow the windows and/or mirrors to close upon locking automatically. This is especially
helpful in tight parking spots or garages and is fully compatible with vehicles equipped with Comfort Access.
The windows are unaffected upon vehicle unlocking and mirrors will fold out automatically when the ignition
is turned on.
OBD2 Clearing
OBD2 clearing can be particularly helpful when performing diagnostics and/or those running off-road setups,
a diagnostic wipe is performed within ~1 minute from ignition start and continuously in timed cycles while
during use. In order to perform diagnostics or troubleshooting, this feature should be set to OFF.
The OBD2 Clearing feature is a TRACK ONLY item and should NEVER be used on a public highway. By installing this module,
you fully understand the possible risks. This setting is used for those that have race exhausts and/or used on a closed race
course to prevent CEL lamp from illuminating.
WARNING: Please note that certain aftermarket exhaust systems may not comply with applicable US (including California)
laws and regulations, and may therefore be prohibited for use on highways or roads, or on roads or vehicles otherwise
subject to emissions control requirements. California prohibits the use of any aftermarket exhaust system that modifies,
removes or replaces original equipment catalysts, unless CARB has issued an Executive Order as to such part or system.
This product is not compliant with the California Air Resource Board and not for use on public roads in California. Note: By
default this setting is disabled.
Halos at full brightness
For those equipped with LED Headlamps, the brightness LED halos can be increased by approximately 40%.
