Aberdeen Offices Opening Shortly
Mactech Europe are pleased to announce the opening of their Operations Centre in
Aberdeen. Located close to the airport it will provide its new and existing client
operations, both on and off-shore, with fast, effective and easily accessible rental
machines, on-site machining, and decommissioning support services.
Peter Sheves is the Aberdeen Base Operations Director. He is located at the new
offices and is available now by email at [email protected] if you
would like to discuss a project.
Peter brings decades of specialist knowledge to Mactech Europe and will enhance
the existing high standards of quality and services that are currently being

To support the development of Mactech Europe’s
Aberdeen operations facility and oversee the
introduction of the Mactech Offshore range of
Diamond Wire Cutting equipment, which has been
proven over years of operation in the US Gulf, the
services of Peter Sheves have been secured.
Having previously managed Hydratight’s Aberdeen
operations base and latterly overseen the
development and growth of Mach-Ten into its current
Stork guise, Peter brings decades of specialist
knowledge to Mactech Europe and will enhance the
already existing high standards of quality and
services being provided, with the additional benefits
of having all stocks being located locally at our new
Dyce operations facility.

Diamond Wire Saws

Mactech offers a range of Diamond Wire Saw Cutters for subsea and topside cutting
of a variety of materials and projects. Ideal for cutting multi-string applications or
heavy wall legs and cross members. Typical uses include offshore
decommissioning, and subsea or topside maintenance. The compact and robust
design creates an ideal cutting environment, reducing setup, installation, and
removal time – saving you time and money.

NEW - Hydraulic Power Unit
... system pressure of 120 bar - flow rate 43.5 litres per minute
The Mactech Hydraulic Power Unit is a general
purpose portable source of hydraulic power. It is
driven by a 7.5KW 415 volt 3 phase 50hz electric
motor giving a system pressure of 120 bar with a
flow rate of 43.5 litres per minute.
Standard oil tank capacity is 180 litres of type
VH-46 hydraulic oil.
The H.P.U. is of compact design measuring 800
wide x 600 deep x 1200 high and weighs 220 Kg
empty.
Typically the HPU can be used to power the
Mactech (Europe) Ltd range of End Prepping
Machines and Clamshell lathes when they are
fitted with the hydraulic motor option. They can
also drive the hydraulic motors of milling rails,
gantry mills, boring bars and drilling machines.

Mactech Europe have the capability to cut pipes of most diameters and wall
thickness on-site thanks to our wide range of OD mounted Clamshell Pipe Cutting
Machines and our internally mounted End Prep Machines. These machines are able
to machine a broad spectrum of materials such as but not limited to; cast iron, carbon
steel and stainless steel, including Super Duplex, form 4" to 60" with customised
specials up to 110"

... technicians are qualified to TMJ1, 10, 11, 18, 19 and 20
Whether your application requires hydraulic torque or hydraulic bolt tensioning,
Mactech Europe has the resource available to meet the demands of the
customer. Our competent multi skilled technicians are qualified to TMJI 10, 11, 18,
19 and 20 certification to ensure they work safely and efficiently whilst delivering a
value for money service each and every time.
