1st ANNUAL FRED MANSKE MEMORIAL RUN
MAY 2ND & 3RD 2015
RIDE MISSION
The 1st Annual Fred Manske Memorial Run will be hosted by ALR 29 Glendale,
Arizona (Fred’s home post).
Fred was AZALR Assistant Chairman to John Moffitt for 6 years.
The theme of this run is “We Ride In Honor of Fred Manske”.
INSTRUCTIONS
*The 1st annual Run will start this year on Saturday, May 2nd, from Post 29 Glendale
with registration starting at 5:30 A.M..
* KSU at 7 A.M. We will continue West and North through Yavapai, Mohave, La Paz,
and Maricopa counties. (Fred’s favorite route for rides).
* It is suggested that you pre-register (see form) no later than April 25th, 2015 so we
can get a ballpark head count.
*Registration at Post 29 on Saturday, May 2nd, will be between 5:30 A.M. and 6:45
A.M. for non pre-registered riders.
*There will be breakfast burritos on sale at Post 29, May 2nd, for a minimal fee.
Coffee will also be provided.
ROUTES AND STOPS AND ESTIMATED ARIVAL TIMES
1. Glendale Post 29 (Run Meeting / Start)
2. Wickenburg Post 12 8:15 -8:30am
3. Prescott Post 6 10:00 – 10:15am
4. Dewey / Humbolt Post 78 11:00am
5. Chino Valley Post 40 (LUNCH) 12:00 pm
6. Kingman Post 14 3:00 – 3:30pm
7. Golden Valley Post 22 4:00 – 4:15pm
8. Bullhead Post 87 / Laughlin Nevada (Stop for the night) 5:15 – 5:30pm
9. Lake Havasu Post 8 10:00 – 10:30am 5/3/15
10. Avondale Post 61 1:30 – 1:45pm
11. Glendale Post 29 (Run end party Sunday, May 3rd) 2:30 – 3:00pm
*Each of the stops along the routes are Posts with ALR Chapters. Each stop will be
approximately 15 minutes. There will be gas stops along the routes.
*We will be stopping at Post 40 in Chino Valley where the Post will offer lunch for all
run participants for a fee. After the lunch stop we will head to Kingman and then on
to Bullhead for the night.
*Riders can start the Memorial Run anywhere along the planned stops. You do
not have to start at Post 29.
*ALR 29 will provide at least one chase truck which will be pulling a motorcycle
trailer and will follow behind the last group of riders. The chase truck will stop at
each Post and will have registration forms and waivers for any riders that want to
join the group. The chase truck will have a cooler for bottled water. You can store
any bags or gear in the back of the truck. We ask that you label your bags and gear
with your name and Post number for identification purposes.
*In the event of a motorcycle break down, we ask tie the red colored ribbon
(supplied in run package) to the left hand grip of motorcycle. This will alert the
chase truck driver that you need help. The chase truck will have minimal tools. If
your motorcycle is in need of a tow, your motorcycle can be loaded in the trailer and
you and your motorcycle will be driven to the next city with a repair facility. The
chase truck will not stay while your motorcycle is being repaired. The chase
truck will continue along the route in case someone else needs help.
*If you choose to go elsewhere to include Laughlin, Nevada, and Bullhead, you may
feel free to do so.(REMEMBER: You must have helmets for yourself and passenger to
cross into Laughlin….don’t get caught without it!)
*On Sunday, May 3rd, we will meet at Post 87 in Bullhead at 7:30 A.M. with KSU @
8:15 A.M. to be in route to Lake Havasu Post 81, Avondale Post 61, and then to end
party at Post 29 in Glendale. A late lunch / dinner will be provided at Post 29 to all
run participants (included in run packet with your run fee).

RUN PACKAGE CONTENTS
Memorial Run patch, Emergency number card for chase truck driver, route sheet,
run participant arm band, red help ribbon, end of run lunch/dinner ticket.
