2015 Synchro summer camp FOR BEGINNING AND EXPERIENCED SYNCHRO SWIMMERS August 3-7, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily Middleton Area Indoor Pool This is the perfect opportunity to try Synchro for the first time, or to build on existing skills. The focus will be on learning and improving synchronized swimming skills, and there will be extensive time in the pool. Participants will be divided into groups depending on experience, and will work on a routine in addition to basic Synchro skills. We will also offer classes outside the pool, and will have guest instructors on Monday through Thursday for Dance, Yoga, Karate and Stroke Practice. A performance open to friends and family will be held at 4:00 p.m. on August 7 to close camp. Fees $250 ($225 if registered and paid by May 31st) Prerequisites Participants must be at least 8 years old and have passed Level 4 of Red Cross swimming (or equivalent) at the time of camp. Jennylynde maintains her first aid, CPR/AED and CCP Level 2 certification as well as Judges Level 2 certification through USA Synchro. Jamie Gepner is the owner and lead instructor at little om BIG OM yoga studio in Middleton. She holds Children's Yoga Teacher Certifications through Karma Kids Yoga, Rainbow Kids Yoga, and the Yoga Education Institute. Mike Hruska grew up swimming for the Verona Aquatic Club and the Verona Area High School swim team, and went on to compete for the UW Badgers and the UW La Crosse Eagles. He is currently the head coach/program director for MOHO Gators Swimming where he has worked with swimmers of all ages and abilities to challenge themselves and to work towards their goals for the past seven years. Nadine Jessup is an instructor at Synergy Dance Academy in Madison. She is a graduate of Middleton High School, and has studied dance for over 14 years. Mathiam Mbow is the owner and head instructor at Kicks Unlimited in Middleton. He is a 4th degree black belt in ITF (International Taekwon-do Federation) certified instructor, 3rd degree black belt American Taekwon-Do.
