Create Special Memories
Every Bride and Groom is special to us and with only
one wedding in the Hotel per day we can ensure
that you will receive our complete attention on your
Wedding Day. The traditional red carpet will be rolled
out for your arrival and you will be warmly welcomed
by Management and Staff of the Hotel. The entire Bridal
Party are treated to a glass of champagne, while your
guests can relax with complimentary Tea, Coffee &
Biscuits.
With our idyllic location in Malin Village, you can
travel to the Malin Hotel in the transport of your choice,
Princess-like in a Horse & Carriage or in a chaffeur
driven car; all the while taking in the scenic views en
route and also capturing those enchanting photograhic

Our Parisian Banqueting Suite emulates Irish Charm with
a French Twist, decorated in a French style, with designer
wallpapers, mirrors and candlelit walls. Our wedding
organisers have been with the hotel many years and
will ensure your every need is catered for in advance.
We’ll look after you and ensure that your day is as
fabulous and stress free as you would like it. But if stress
is your buzz, then we can push the boundaries of your
imagination like you wouldn’t believe.
Our Banqueting Suite will be tastefully decorated for
you on your Wedding Day. We can cater for a variety
of wedding numbers from intimate family affairs to
Weddings of up to 320 guests. We will provide you with
a choice of magnificient centrepieces for both your top
table and for your wedding guests tables.
Each table will be covered in crisp white linen and lit
with candles, while our white chair covers and bows will
help achieve that elegant ambience. We also provide
personalised Wedding Menus on each table for your
guests, along with a personalised Table Plan if required.
We can arrange to provide both a fairylit backdrop for
your Wedding Cake and Top Table to ensure that the
photos of your Special Day are just magical.

Our award winning Head Chef, Volker Eichinger along
with his committed team will prepare and cater your
specialised menu as selected by you in advance.

Lagg Chapel is the oldest Roman Catholic Church in
Inishowen still in use, built in 1784, so why not say “I

Twenties. The Malin Hotel with its individual, be-spoke

At your Wedding Reception we can offer a number of
luxuries to welcome your guests to the Malin Hotel.
Freshly brewed tea, coffee & biscuits are provided
complimentary however if you would like to add a
personal touch and give a favour to your guests you can
choose from the following options.
A glass of Summer Punch or Mulled Wine, Red or White
House Wine, Sparkling Wine, Champagne, Buck’s Fizz
or Kir Royale or indeed a choice of drink from the bar
including a spirit, beer or mineral.

Romance on the Strand
Walk along the Five Finger Strand and view the largest
sand dunes in Europe at Lagg.
This amazing sandy beach and Trawbreaga Bay allows
for magnificent photographs which will provide you with
memories to treasure for the rest of your life.
Knockamany Bends is only a short distance from the
beach and it allows panoramic views over Trawbreaga
Bay, the Five Finger Strand, Doagh Island and the
beautifully situated church at Lagg.
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the rugged
Inishowen Coastline are local fishing piers, including
Malin Head and Portronan Pier.
With unique fishing vessels and blue seas as your
backdrop the photos that you will have will speak for
themselves.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland is Culdaff
Beach, only 10 minutes from Malin. The golden sands
and pure water enthral all who visit.
With beautiful views across the Atlantic Ocean it will
guarantee elegant and memorable photos.
True Love on the Green
An interesting and unspoilt 17th century plantation
village, Malin is picturesquely situated at the head of
Trawbreaga Bay.
An interesting feature of the approach to the town is
the bridge with its ten arches spanning the bay. It is the
second largest stone bridge in Ireland.
The original triangular village green is still intact, planted
with limes, sycamore and cherries, and recently with
oaks to commemorate the O’Doherty clan.
All round the village are signs of the care that has won it
many awards in the National Tidy Towns competition.
The Church of Ireland parish church has a fine three state
battlemented tower with square pinnacles and beautiful
mature gardens which provide the most exquisite
photographs.
