By 2011, two parcels of land purchased and placed in Trust for the community and a new hockey all weather pitch constructed. A charity established, with a Board of Trustees appointed and a £1.2million loan secured. To manage the debt, a robust Financial Plan was put in place to manage both the facilities and capital repayment of the various loans. As a consequence there was a big improvement in the membership all committed to the future of MSC. Today, from renting the original 5 acre site, we now own 20 acres available for recreational use. The Debt has been reduced in just over 3 years by £800,000 helped by the town being very generous through their various fundraising efforts on our behalf and Grants from England Hockey. All members of the Club are very appreciative of the Patronage of Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Clive Woodward, Andrew Strauss and Alex Danson and the value they add. ‘’ ‘I would encourage everyone to help with the fund raising efforts’ Sir Clive Woodward ‘Helping Marlow Sports Club can potentially make a difference to the well-being of the entire town’ Sir Steve Redgrave Graham Sweet (Commercial Director) [email protected] Main enquiries - 01628483638
