Position Note
Being the administrator for Community Education in Paw Paw is akin to running a small
district within a district. Because Community Education is able to utilize all of the funding
it generates to enable it to be self-supporting, being the Community Education Director
entails responsibilities different from those of a traditional building administrator. Since it
is the Director’s responsibility to ensure that the program runs within its revenue, the
position requires watching funding and enrollment trends, forecasting what’s ahead and
preparing and adjusting budgets as each year progresses. Working closely with the District
Business Director is essential to this process. While planning and budgeting is sometimes
challenging, the Community Education Director in Paw Paw is fortunate to have the
opportunity to keep the program running in whatever configuration will meet the District
and State requirements, be self-supporting and best serve the needs our students.
Compensation/Benefits
Compensation/benefits shall be commensurate with experience.
