Sr. Programmer and Developer ­ UE4 & Oculus VR Matter VR / Halon Entertainment www.mattervr.com www.halon.com Santa Monica, CA, USA (remote positions available) [email protected] Full job description here: http://goo.gl/t2DxS5 Responsibilities ­ Implement, optimize, test, debug, and maintain engine and gameplay code for UE4 ­ Work closely with designers to create high quality effects optimized for VR platforms ­ Write C++ code at a professional level to integrate and optimize for various VR platforms ­ Design custom tools, integrate various SDK’s, and be part of a productive team ­ Iterate on and improve efficiency and quality of the studio’s pipeline and proprietary toolset ­ Estimate task duration accurately and manage time appropriately to hit deliveries and deadlines Qualifications: ­ A minimum of 3­5 years of software development experience in the game or M&E industry ­ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and/or similar career experience ­ Proficient in C++ and comfortable with Python. Ability to optimize both for low latency performance ­ Experience designing and customizing Unreal Engine 4 ­ Familiarity with a variety of SDK’s and experience developing around them (Oculus, AMD/ATI, UE4, etc..) ­ Comfortable with Perforce, Git, or another version control system ­ Excellent 3D Math, Trig, and Linear Algebra skills. ­ Familiar with modern practices of object oriented programming and processes ­ Highly self­motivated and eager to learn new systems and skills ­ Good communication skills and positive team member Bonus Qualifications: ­ Experience coding for GPU’s (PhysX, AMD OpenCL Accelerated Parallel Processing, etc..) ­ Work with gaming consoles (Xbox360, PS4, etc..) ­ Familiarity with tracking software (ie.Optitrack, Vicon, etc..) ­ Experience with various M&E software including Maya, SpeedTree, Vray, Otoy, etc... ­ Familiarity with Visual Studio ­ Experience with Shotgun Software and their Toolkit / API MATTERvr is a new virtual reality content company forged by award winning leaders in film, television, gaming and new media.
