You do not have to be a teacher, nor even desire to become a teacher to attend NYTT. This training is for anyone who wants to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga on all levels. Participants explore methods of cultivating their personal practice, and from that space, experience the gift of sharing yoga with others. Through self-inquiry, group discussion, and experiential learning, we uncover together the meaning of traditional yoga texts, and how this timeless philosophy relates to daily living. We will help you find your own authentic voice, and path on this journey. The program is a nine month 240 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Program. Early registration deadline for our next program is June 30, 2015. Partial scholarship and work/trade are available. We will be learning to use gravity to heal, align , and bring us into a more grounded version of ourselves. The goal of Acropeudics is to facilitate healing within yourself and in others. You can transform people's lives with a single flight! Putting yourself upside-down shifts their perspective on the world, builds trust, facilitates healing, and creates new possibilities. This 6 week introduction will give participants all the basic skills to give and receive Acropeudics. Setting intention, practicing metta-(loving kindness), creating trust, and feeling good are our goals. All are welcome- no special skills or partners are necessary! Each class will include partner warm-ups, acropeudic techniques, proper spotting for beginners, finding your rhythm, and having tons of fun.
