[Answers to Frequently Asked Questions] The Estate

To All Residents of the North McRae Beach Community , Duclos Point Road and
McRae Beach South
[Answers to Frequently Asked Questions]
The Estate of Thomas McRae owns the 2 parks on Blue Heron Drive and the Green Space
on the east side of the road on McRae Beach South. The McRae family pays the taxes on
these properties. These properties or any part of them cannot be built upon or sold. The
two parks can however, be gifted to the Beach Association or the Township. The McRae
Beach Association was incorporated in 1960. In order to keep these properties privately
owned, the Beach Association agreed to take care of the maintenance and upkeep of the
two parks [grass cutting, trees trimmed etc.] This has been ongoing for 54 years. These
properties are for the use of all residents of McRae Beach. In fact, many of the beach
residents have been volunteers on the Beach Executive at one time or another. Two current
executive have volunteered their time over the last 16 years.
Your membership in the McRae Beach Association is an important part of our continued
role that the Association plays. Your membership ensures that we can provide a ready

goal is to maintain the recreational value of the McRae Beach community by protecting the
ecological resources of the lake, actively promoting boat safety, organizing social and
recreational activities and maintaining a positive working relationship with local
government agencies.
