A. Call to Order. The meeting was called to order by President Priscilla
Torres at 12:20 P.M.

B. Pledge of Allegiance. President Priscilla Torres led the Pledge of Allegiance.
C. Welcome from Host – Erika Gonzalez-Santamaria, City of Miami
Springs.
Ron Gorland, City Manager from the City of Miami Springs and City Clerk Erika
Gonzalez-Santamaria welcomed all members and guests.
D. Guest Speaker/Presentation – JoEllen Phillips, Historian/Curator. Mrs.
Phillips gave a brief overview of the history of the Curtiss Mansion.

E. Business Meeting
1. Approval of Minutes of December 18, 2014. VicePresident Maria Camara motioned to approve the Minutes as
presented. The motion was seconded by Treasurer Pamela Latimore
and adopted by unanimous voice vote.
2. Treasurer’s Report as of January 30, 2015. Secretary
Annery Gonzalez motioned to approve the Treasurer’s Report as of
January 30th, 2015. The motion was seconded by Member Ellisa
Horvath. All voted in favor.
3. President’s Report as of February 18, 2015. President
Priscilla Torres submitted a verbal and written report to include:
- Luncheon Attendance
- Facebook “Likes”
- Survey – Vice President
4. Old/New Business. No Old Business.
5. Announcements/Comments/Suggestions
a. Annery Gonzalez – CMC designation. Annery
Gonzalez, City Clerk from the City of West Miami was
presented with a Certificate of Recognition for her
accomplishment in earning the CMC Designation.
b. Debra Eastman – Retirement as of March 6, 2015
c. Town Clerk opening in Cutler Bay. President Priscilla
Torres gave information about a job opening at the Town
of Cutler Bay.
d. Mario Bataille – City Clerk of Hallandale Beach.
Mario Bataille, former Miami Gardens City Clerk was
hired recently by the City of Hallandale Beach.
e. IIMC Scholarships/Grants – March 1, 2015
deadline. Treasurer and Southeast District Director
Pamela Latimore informed about the deadlines to apply
for grants and scholarships, Region Conferences,
Academies and Committees. Also Mrs. Latimore informed
that Suzanne “Susy” Hitaffer will be retiring from her position

as Assistant Clerk from the City of Miami Springs as of April
30th, 2015.
Daniel F. DeLoach Scholarship – April 30, 2015
deadline. President Priscilla Torres gave information
regarding the above captioned scholarship.
Schedule of Future Meetings:
• April 23, 2015 – City of South Miami need
location. President Priscilla Torres recommended
this meeting be hosted by West Miami. All voted in
favor.
• June 18, 2015 – City of West Miami. To be
determined.
• October 1, 2015 – Village of Biscayne Park
F. Adjournment. There being no further business before the Miami-Dade County
Municipal Clerks Association, Secretary Annery Gonzalez motioned to adjourn the
meeting, seconded by Treasurer Pamela Latimore. The meeting was declared
adjourned at 12:5o. P.M.
