A. Call to Order. The meeting was called to order by President Priscilla
Torres at 12:15 P.M.

B. Pledge of Allegiance. President Priscilla Torres led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Eduardo H. Muhiña, Mayor from the City of West Miami and City Clerk Annery
Gonzalez welcomed all members and guests.

Katy Sorenson, Founder and CEO of the Good Government Initiative.
Mrs. Sorenson made a presentation about the LEADERS OF EXCELLENCE
PROGRAM, a program that provides a venue for elected officials to develop their
skills as leaders and to hone their abilities to practice good governance.
D. Guest Speaker/Presentation – Rick Caldwell, RCultures, Inc.
Navigating Change: Leading Today, Preparing for Tomorrow.
Mr. Caldwell made a presentation emphasizing on how to understand generational
differences. Different generations share different values, experiences, styles and
activities in our society and Mr. Caldwell’s presentation provided the necessary
tools to develop the skills to manage all the differences in ways that promote
respect and empowerment for everyone.
E. Business Meeting
1. Approval of Minutes of February 19th, 2015. Treasurer
Pamela Latimore motioned to approve the Minutes as presented.
The motion was seconded by Vice-President Maria Camara and
adopted by unanimous voice vote.
2. Treasurer’s Report. None presented.
3. Old/New Business. No Old Business.
4. Announcements/Comments/Suggestions
a. Susanne Hitaffer, Miami Springs – Retirement as
of April 30, 2015. Susanne could not be present at this
meeting. President Priscilla Torres expressed Susan would
be recognized at the next meeting.
b. Mario Bataille – City Clerk of Hallandale Beach.
Mario Bataille, former Miami Gardens City Clerk was
hired recently by the City of Hallandale Beach.
c. Maria Camara - Survey Results. Vice-President
Camara thanked all those who participated in the survey.
d. Daniel F. DeLoach Scholarship – April 30, 2015
deadline. President Priscilla Torres gave information
regarding the above captioned scholarship.
e. Schedule of Future Meetings:
• June 18, 2015 – Need Location. President
Priscilla Torres announced this meeting would take
place at the Village of Pinecrest.
• October 1, 2015 – Village of Biscayne Park
F. Adjournment. There being no further business before the Miami-Dade County
Municipal Clerks Association, Secretary Annery Gonzalez motioned to adjourn the
meeting, seconded by Treasurer Pamela Latimore. The meeting was declared
adjourned at 12:5o P.M.
