into our Bank and is due at the

‘HIVE at meahouse’ is an exciting initiative from
The MEA Trust and provides no-fuss, flexible,
affordable office space for small charities, industrial
and provident societies, and community interest
companies.

HIVE hot desk availability
In today’s working environment, fewer charities require large office
units, and smaller organisations need easily available office space
from which they can grow and expand. Until now, this facility has not
been available for the voluntary sector.

The MEA Trust has adapted to the evolving needs of charities by
creating HIVE at meahouse - a drop-in, hot desking environment in a
modern, third-floor 1362 sq ft office space, with a strong focus on
easy-in and easy-out occupation.

HIVE at meahouse marks the latest chapter in MEA House’s
development, since its founder Mungo Campbell introduced the
concept of housing charities under one roof in the heart of
Newcastle city centre 40 years ago.
No smoking Policy
HIVE at meahouse provides six hot-desking spaces, and in addition,
there are three separate offices of approximately 19m2 within the unit
to accommodate one or two people, which are available furnished or
unfurnished, all with broadband and wi-fi.
Refreshments and storage:
FULL DAY (12 hours):
MONDAY to THURSDAY:
Desks can be booked from 9.00 to 21.00 hours
FRIDAY 9.00 to 18.00 hours.
HALF DAY (6 hours)
MONDAY to THURSDAY: Desks can be booked
from 9.00 to 15.00 or 15.00 to 21.00 or on a six
hourly basis to suit individual requirements.
FRIDAY: 9.00 to 13.30 or 13.30 to 18.00 or on a 4.5
hourly basis to suit individual requirements.
Monday to Thursday: 12 hours per day £14.00
Friday:
9 hours per day £10.00
Monday to Thursday: 6 hours per half-day £7
Friday:
4.5 hours per half-day £5

Complimentary
For hot desks pre-booked more than a week in
advance, 24 hours’ notice of cancellation is required
and should be notified as soon as possible by
telephone, letter or email to [email protected]
The MEA Trust reserves the right to charge the full
amount for desks not cancelled with 24 hours’
notice.
MEA House strictly adheres to its no-smoking policy
which extends 20 metres outside the front of the
building. Smoke alarms are fitted throughout the
building
Tea point, microwave and refrigerator and filing
cabinet storage facilities included in hire charges

Hot desks are available to hire on a daily, weekly or monthly basis,
while the offices can be rented by the month for as long as required.
There are additional charges for a DDI telephone number and the
cost of telephone calls – at greatly reduced prices.
Users can also benefit from their own dedicated meeting room,
storage facilities, a tea point, a manned reception desk, virtual office
assistance, and MEA House’s extensive networking opportunities.
