2015 Edna Ullmann-Margalit Memorial Lecture
The 2015 Edna Ullmann-Margalit Lecture will be delivered by Jon Elster on
Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 4:30 pm at the Federmann Center for the Study of
Rationality.
Jon Elster is an award-winning social and political theorist. A Norwegian born who received his
Ph.D. from the Sorbonne, Elster is now Robert K. Merton Professor of Social Sciences at Columbia
University and professor titulaire at the Collège de France. He was awarded the prestigious Jean
Nicod Prize in 1997.
