on the new stroke prevention guidelines, management of congestive heart failure in women, risk of cardiovascular
disease (CVD) in African American women and disparities in care, and the benefits of cardiac rehab and exercise for
CVD. Educational sessions include the following speakers and learning objectives:
Please note: Conference registration includes your admission to Stone Mountain Park. Simply tell the park gate
attendant you are attending the “Women and Heart Disease Conference” and you will be allowed free admission for
that day. We suggest you bring a sweater/jacket to ensure your comfort. Due to the local venue, a reservation block
has not been established. Individual rooms may be secured by calling the Evergreen Marriott at 770-879-9900. Free
self-parking is available on-site.

You are welcome to enjoy the park after the meeting, so bring your bike, hiking shoes, etc., and come prepared to
spend the afternoon! Join us for some heart healthy exercise after the event. The conference planners are offering a
“Walk with the Doc.” Two options will be available 1) Beginner/ Intermediate-45 minute hike and 2) Advanced hike to
the summit – time varies per individual speed. Surcharges for special activities (i.e., golf, Summit Skyride, etc.) in the

Cancellation requests made in writing prior to 7/21/15 will incur a $35 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after 7/22/15. Cancelled registrations are nontransferable.
