Course Description:
Early detection and improved methods of cancer intervention have led to a steady increase in the number of cancer
survivors in the United States. But these cancer survivors may have short or long term cognitive, emotional or physical
changes that can make caring for themselves or others a real challenge. Occupational Therapy has an important role in
supporting cancer survivors do the things they want and need to do to maintain their quality of life. The three
distinguished speakers will provide specific strategies to refine Occupational Therapy’s role in cancer care.
