TWO NON-TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PROGRAM IN THE DEPARTMENT OF REHABILITATION SCIENCES This is an exciting time for the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and the College of Public Health at Temple University. We are experiencing unprecedented growth in enrollment and research led by highly acclaimed faculty. Over the next four years, the College will expand its footprint with a new building and add 50 faculty members across the 9 public health and health-related professions departments. In 2014, Dean Laura A. Siminoff joined the College and is leading a realignment of interdisciplinary research and academic programming within Public Health. We are seeking two outstanding educators and scholars to teach in our Occupational Therapy program beginning Fall 2015. Temple University’s Occupational Therapy Program was ranked #31 in the 2012 U.S. News and World Report rankings and had a nearly 100% NBCOT pass rate for our 2013 MOT graduates. The program is in a unique interdisciplinary Department of Rehabilitation Sciences that includes nationally recognized academic programs in Therapeutic Recreation (B.S. and M.S.) and Occupational Therapy (M.O.T and D.O.T. degrees), as well as the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities (www.tucollaborative.org), an internationally known research and training center. Duties will include teaching in our Occupational Therapy program at the Master’s and Doctoral levels in traditional and on-line venues as well as other academic duties. For the first position, we seek candidates with expertise in the field of accessibility and assistive technology. For the second position, we seek candidates who are qualified in the areas of mental health, and children and youth, and have experience in community based practices. A Ph.D. degree or foreign equivalent in Occupational Therapy, Health Sciences or a related field and at least, 3 years clinical experience in Occupational Therapy is desired, along with National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for an Occupational Therapist License in PA. Appointment for this non-tenure track faculty position may be made at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, dependent on qualifications.
