RESIDENCE
GENERAL INFORMATION
THE RESIDENCE ADVANTAGE
Residence life at The Michener Institute is fun, safe and convenient. There are
many benefits to choosing residence accommodation at Schatz Hall. You
immediately have a network of classmates with whom to work on assignments or
study; you are in the same building as your classes, library and computer labs and
you are within walking distance to the downtown amenities. Furthermore, you
are not locked into a 12-month lease which is customary for most rental
apartments and houses in the city.
At Michener our residence population tends to be a mature group of students
(more closely related to grad housing) that values both a quality residence
experience and education. Schatz H a l l is organized to help you achieve your
education in a friendly, supportive a nd inclusive environment. We believe that
residence is much more than simply a place to live: it’s also an opportunity to
experience a diverse community with people from every region of the globe.
This can help you prepare for success in our increasingly interconnected world.
Residence l i f e provides a terrific opportunity t o meet friends and study-mates.
We hire Residence Dons (senior Michener students) to live on each floor and
assist with all aspects of residence life such a providing personal and/or academic
support, organizing floor activities and working with the Student Success
Network of to make your time with us the best experience possible!
