Calling all actors, musicians, and dancers! April 17 – April 25, 2015 Yucca Theatre Join Midland Community Theatre and Midland College this coming spring as they present the musical classic, West Side Story. This modern musical adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, set in an ethnically diverse neighborhood on the upper west side of NYC, follows two rival gangs, the Jets and the Sharks. When Tony, a member of the Jets, falls for Maria, the sister of the Sharks’ leader, they must keep the love secret or face retribution. All interested musicians should have at least high school music reading experience in a band or choir. Registration in a Midland College music ensemble will be required in order to participate.
