The Center for Insurance Studies
Our goal at the Center for Insurance Studies is both to educate talented individuals who are seeking a career in the insurance and financial services industry
and to act as a bridge between the university and industry. Our diverse programs
and course offerings are designed to meet the needs of students and industry
professionals alike.
The Risk Management and Insurance Concentration, available at both the BA
and MBA levels, is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in the
insurance and financial services industry. A cognate program in Actuary Science, offered jointly with the Math Department, blends coursework and workshops to prepare students for careers in the actuarial field. The Marketing Department offers the Insurance Marketing Entrepreneurship cognate program
jointly with the Finance Department in order to help prepare students for careers
in brokerages and agencies of all sizes.
