GENERAL RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
SAEF / SASA

The event will be run under SAEF and SASA Rules and Regulations
- 15th Edition ( Revised January 2015).
GENERAL

All Competitors (Riders, Owners & horses) in Open and Novice classes have to be
registered with SASA , SAEF and a recoginised Club. Non SASA members may pay
a Temporary membership of R30 with their entry fees. Temporary members will
not earn Rider Ranking or Victor Ludorum Points. Competitors in the SASA
Performance classes do not have to be members of SASA, but only members will
earn SASA Performance Victor Ludorum Points. Competitors in Development
classes and Newcomer classes do not have to be members of SASA.

No cross entries of rider and horse/pony combinations between Newcomers,
Novice and Open Classes.
No cross entries of rider and pony combinations between Lead Rein Ponies and
First Ponies.
No cross entries of rider and pony combinations between Pony Rider Classes and
Lead Rein / First Ponies classes.
No cross entry of Rider between Pony Rider and Lead Rein / First Ponies classes.
No cross entry of Rider between Pony Rider and Lead Rein / First Ponies classes
and Newcomers.
The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, combine or change any class should it
be deemed necessary.



Horses and Riders take part in this competition at their own risk.
The Organisers reserve the right to limit the number of entries accepted to a
manageable number, on a first come first served basis.
Any and all decisions made by the Show Director in terms of the collation,
organisation and management of the Show will be deemed final and no further
correspondence will be entered into.

The Show Director reserves the right to refuse entries of ponies/horses not up to
date with FLU and AHS vaccinations
STALLIONS

All Stallions to display a yellow disc on bridle and a yellow ribbon in tail.
SUBSTITUTIONS

A Substitution of rider or pony / horse will be permitted provided the correct forms
are completed and signed by all relevant parties and submitted to the Show
Secretary no less than one hour before the commencement of the class(es).

The Organisers reserve the right to fine, warn, suspend and/or eliminate offenders.

Competitors on ponies/horses that in the opinion of the Judge, Show Director
and/or Organising Committee (Ground Jury), that show signs of unsoundness,
lameness, etc, may be asked to dismount and referred to the Official in charge of
the show.
The Judge may at their discretion, elect/choose to eliminate any competitor from a
class where the welfare of the pony/horse is in doubt/question.
A clearance certificate may be requested from a Veterinarian prior to the
competitor continuing / proceeding in any further classes, and such certificate will
be obtained and provided at the cost of the Owner and/or Competitor.
Horse/Ponies deemed to be unfit for competition by the ground Jury will be
eliminated.

Neither SAEF, SASA, WCEF, Mistico Equestrian Centrenor their representatives
and/or officials, will be held responsible for accidents, illness, loss, damage, theft
or injury sustained by horses, riders, appointed officials, the public or their property
at this show, from any cause whatsoever.
Please bring up to date passports to the show grounds and present it to the Show
Secretary / Passport Controller. These will be checked before entry to the event /
venue / competition is permitted. No passport – No entrance!
