Please welcome Angela South to Vdara Hotel & Spa as Director of Food & Beverage. Angela
is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of Vdara’s Food & Beverage
outlets, including budgets, forecasts, cost controls, marketing and ensuring that service
standards are upheld.
Angela began her career with MGM Resorts
International in 1998 and joins us from ARIA
Resort & Casino where she most recently served
as the Director of Beverage. In this role, she was
responsible for all aspects of ARIA’s Beverage
Program, including all property bars, lounges,
and banquet operations. Prior to this role, Angela
served as Director of Cocktail Services, where she
oversaw a team of more than 150 Cocktail and
Lounge Servers. In this role, Angela worked closely
with her team to maximize efficiency, while ensuring
guest satisfaction.
Prior to that role, Angela held the position of
Beverage Manager, where she was responsible for
the daily operations of the Casino Service Bars and
Beverage staff. She was also a valuable member
of ARIA’s opening team where she started as an
Assistant Beverage Manager, where she assisted
with hiring and training of all new employees.
Angela also helped to develop ARIA’s cocktail
program by introducing new and innovative products
to their bars and lounges.
Angela also held positions at Bellagio Hotel &
Casino as Banquet Beverage Manager and
Beverage Manager.
Angela earned her Bachelor of Science Degree
in Hotel Administration from the University of
Nevada, Las Vegas, and completed her Introductory
Sommelier Course from the Court of Master
Sommeliers. She is also a Diversity Champion from
the class Centurians.
