We hope to provide students with the opportunity to gain exposure to careers in social impact and contribute to domestic and international projects. We intend to deliver value to our beneficiaries by way of contributing to the success of their organisational operations, or directly working with, and equipping capable individuals with the necessary tools and opportunities to access financial services and break the cycle of poverty. We, the Microfinance Branch of SEED, are looking independent, self-‐driven and socially minded students seeking hands on experience working with a reputable Microfinance Institution, SPBD Fiji. This project would involve working throughout Semester 2 on specific tasks assigned by SPBD Fiji, and then travelling to the Fijian capital of Suva to continue this work in January. While the nature of the work is to be confirmed, it is expected to revolve around Client Protection, which could include tasks such as reviewing how SPBD interacts with its clients, developing surveys, and delivering staff training workshops. This is a volunteer travelling position, and an amazing opportunity to engage with Fijian Microfinance through both field-‐work and office-‐based projects while also building professional relationships in the Social Impact field. If you are motivated to gain in-‐depth microfinance experience we encourage you to apply for this fantastic position. Students from all faculties are invited to apply.
