Job Summary Monash SEED (Socio-‐Economic Engagement and Development) is a socially minded student-‐run organisation that seeks to provide students with the opportunity to engage in social impact through Microfinance and Social Enterprise. We hope to provide students with the opportunity to gain exposure to careers in social impact and contribute to domestic and international projects. We intend to deliver value to our beneficiaries by way of contributing to the success of their organisational operations, or directly working with, and equipping capable individuals with the necessary tools and opportunities to access financial services and break the cycle of poverty. We, the Microfinance Branch of SEED, are looking for independent, self-‐driven and socially minded students seeking hands on experience working for a reputable Microfinance Institution in Cambodia. Positions are available for a Marketing Advisor and a Macroeconomic Analyst to complete a 12-‐week internship over the university summer break with Chamroeun Microfinance Limited or AMK respectively. This is a volunteer travelling position, an amazing opportunity to engage with Microfinance Institutions in Cambodia and build professional relationships in the Social Impact field. Individuals will also have the opportunity to contribute to the Cambodia Impact Trip Team’s project during Semester 2, which involves the continued development and expansion of a financial education program delivered to Primary School and High School students from rural Thnal Dach, Cambodia. Design and conduct regular training to enable staff to clearly understand current social/mass media education best practice Measure skill levels to ensure adequate level of social/mass media education theory obtained Assist to create a 12 month mass media education project plan Work with counterpart to design financial education syllabus Accompany counterpart in working with marketing department to design financial education content and agree on plan and budget Provide briefing to counterpart on theory of campaign post-analysis methods Help counterpart to design campaign post-analysis system for mass education program. Interest in marketing, mass media and social media Project management skills Knowledge in developing marketing plans Interest in designing media campaigns Understanding of media program monitoring and evaluation theory including campaign post-analysis. LIAISES Will work in close coordination with all departments in Chamroeun. 6. ACCOUNTABILITY This role will be accountable directly to the Department Head.
