Kylie Jenner’s Teal Ombre
Punk is the new pretty, and pretty is the new punk, declares Andy
Lecompte Salon colorist and PRAVANA Guest Artist Danny Moon.
So the teal tips that he created for the Kardashian clan’s Kylie Jenner
were formulated to flatter her skin tone and fade attractively. The secret,
he reveals, was to combine multiple tones to produce depth.
Application
1. Apply Formula A to new growth.
2. Prelighten midshafts and ends to a Level 10
3. Shampoo, Condition, rinse and dry the hair.
4. Apply Formula B at the midshaft, at the point where the dark color and prelightened hair meet.
Draw the color upward about 2-3 inches on the top layers.
5. Pull the color through to staggered points of the ends around the perimeter.
6. Process for 20 to 30 minutes at room temperature. Rinse with cool water. The
prelightened ends that have not been tinted will pick up some of the teal shade
that is rinsed through.
7. Shampoo lightly and condition with PRAVANA VIVIDS Color Protect.
Spray PRAVANA VIVIDS Color Protect Sealing Spray.
To create the look, he used the following formulas
Formula A
(dark base): PRAVANA ChromaSilk 3N + 10 volume developer
Formula B
(teal): 2 Parts PRAVANA VIVIDS Green + 1 Part PRAVANA
VIVIDS Blue
