A FEW WORDS FROM MRS NICOLL
FOMS (Friends of Mount Street)
Welcome back. I hope you had a lovely Easter and managed to enjoy
the sunshine.
We have started our new theme ‘Come to Life’ and have welcomed
frog spawn into school and some lovely little eggs. The eggs are due to
th
hatch on the 6 May so we’ll be listening out for some little chirps!
We are very excited.
The children are learning all about animals, life cycles and other spring
like topics. It has been wonderful seeing our children enjoying the
sunshine in our outdoor areas. School is an even better place when
the sun is shining.
We always say it but this year is speeding by and we can’t believe we
are into the Summer term. We are really proud of everything the
children have achieved and look forward to another successful term.
The cupcake sale was a huge success and with your help we raised
£142. Thank you. All the winners are on our face book page, I'm not
sure how they judged them as they were all so good.
We are still looking for more beauticians to join us at our pamper
night; if you know of anyone who would like to take part please let us
know.
Our next Family Film Night is Thursday 23rd April and we are showing
Paddington.
Is your house full of party bag toys and crackers toys? We are
collecting them for prizes for the Summer Fair; if you have any to
spare please hand them in to the school office for FOMS. Thank you,
every little helps!

YEAR 2 NEWS
Westgate Transition Trip
As part of our on-going transition events over the course of the year,
we will be taking the children to Westgate for a morning of PE and
Creative activities next week. Matisse and Miro will go on Tuesday

21 April and Kandinsky will go on Wednesday 22 April. If you are
able to help walk the children to Westgate on either or both of these
days we would be very grateful! Please see individual class teachers
to volunteer. Thank you for your support.
Class Assemblies
This term we have our Class Assemblies which you will all receive
invitations for from the children. Just so you know in advance, the
dates are as follows:

The doors to the hall will open at 2:30pm ready for a 2:40pm prompt

Wow Morning

We will be having a Rainforest Wow morning on Friday 8
May. Children have the option of coming dressed up as rainforest
animals or in tribal costumes if they would like to.
SUN PROTECTION
Please could children bring sun-cream, a cap and a water bottle into
school everyday as we are using the outside area a lot and it has
minimal shade. Thank you.
FREE COURSE
There will be a Recycle, Re-sew, Re-love course being held at Lincoln

Carlton Academy for 4 weeks from 14 April. Please contact Nic Law

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
