But dear children, there’s lot more you can do to make your vacations more interesting, meaningful and full of fun along with doing all your heart desires. We have framed the holiday assignments around the Amazing World of Animals to make it interesting. It will surely make you learn more about your favourite animals and even the animals you haven’t heard of. So get ready for your treasure hunt. ENGLISH We have planned some funfilled activities to make your holidays more exciting: Knowing about animals, their homes and what they eat is a challenging and an enjoyable topic which will help in enhancing the ability of visualizing, recalling and will help in building your vocabulary too. So, let’s be ready to play a card game based on the information given below. Let’s make cards of 6’’ × 6’’ size having animal pictures, their homes and their food on each card. Now it’s time to play the game with your family. Shuffle the cards and try to match with their group, home and food. Make figure of different animals with craft papers using different geometrical shapes and paste them in the scrap book. Q2. Do pages 11 to 15 in Maths book. CRAFT Table mat Take an A3 sheet (ivory or pastel) and paste animals or (draw animals and colour with oil pastel) and then laminate the sheet. Hands on Craft The child has to make the project according to his/her roll number. Please refer to the instructions given with each project. Roll no 1 to 10 - Frog 1. Fold paper plate in half and then open out again 2. Paint inside and outside of paper with green poster colour. 3. Cut two feet shaped pieces from green pastel sheet and stick them in place. 4. Cut a narrow strip of red pastel sheet for tongue. Stick it inside the mouth. 5. Stick two white plastic bottle caps to make eyes. Roll no 11 to 20- Fish 1. Take a plate to draw two circles on any pastel sheet. 2. Cut these circles. 3. Make fins and mouth from the pastel sheet and paste them in between the two circles. 4. Stick any shiny paper or kitchen foil to make the fish scales. 5. Make eyes of the fish. Roll no 21 to 32- Jelly Fish Plates 1. Cut a paper plate in half and use one half only and paint it with poster colour. 2. Draw eyes and mouth. 3. Take shiny paper and cut lots of curved narrow strips. 4. Paste or staple the narrow strips to the straight edge of the plate. 5. At the back use one strip to make a hook. ART 1. Draw a butterfly in HW art file and colour it using oil pastels. 2. Draw a honey bee in HW art file and colour it using oil pastels. The child has to make the craft according to their roll numbers.
