A natural disaster is a major adverse event resulting from natural processes of the Earth; examples include floods, volcanic eruptions,
earthquakes, tsunamis, and other geologic processes. A natural disaster can cause loss of life or property damage, and typically leaves some
economic damage in its wake, the severity of which depends on the affected population's resilience, or ability to recover.

Collect pictures and information from Newspapers and Magazines about the series of earthquakes that have
occurred recently in Nepal (Information should include – epicenter, Richter scale, seismic focus)

Students are required to make the following projects in the scrap book based on
1. CH. 9 Compare the lifestyle of today’s man with the life of early man during different stone ages
Including pictures and other relevant information on assignment sheets and paste them in scrap book.
2. Chap – 17 (Deccan and South India) – collect and paste pictures of any four ancient temples of South India
and write in brief about them .
3. Chap – 18 (India and Outside World-- In a physical map of India locate and label the neighbouring
countries of India.
Write the names of neighbouring countries on A4 size sheet along with their directions.
Revise the CH. 2, 10-A & 11-A

Study the natural calamity that has hit Nepal recently. Thousands of people lost their lives. Suggest a few
mitigation practices which could have managed the disaster better. Submit your work on A4 size sheets.
Optimistic Attitude helps us to overcome sorrows and hardships of life. Express your view on positive
thinking by writing poetry on this theme.
