Mudgee Farmers Market
This Saturday 18th April 2015
St Marys Church Grounds, corner Church & Market St 8.30 till 12.30
As the days chill down, it’s time to think about warming winter soups, full bodied Mudgee Reds,
and toast and marmalade for tea… and being a farmers market, you can get it all here on Saturday.
Too cold for 'regular' cordials? Maybe, but lucky for you Hello Lovelies doesn't think it too cold to have fun. Our 'Oh
Regina' with its orange and spice leaves a similar sensation to the rosy afterglow of alcohol. Why? The warming action of the
ginger and clove. Cosy! It's also a little bit special when this particular syrup is drizzled over French Toast and Bacon (we've
tried). We are offering a buying incentive when supporting one of our companion Producers. How about our 'Lola' (local
cherry and foraged fennel) with Baker Williams Wheat Vodka? If you buy any of the Baker Williams products and purchase a
mixing companion from our seasonal cordials, we will say thanks with a 10% discount on your bottle of Hello Lovelies.
Christine from Crave Natural will I have new Jun beverage for sale which is made with an ancient culture, local
Mudgee organic raw honey and green tea. Ask for a sample to taste.
 Bonnie View Produce special this month will be some fresh Long Hot Cayenne Chilli and
Jalapeno Chilli and dried Jalapeno Chilli.
Mudgee Lamb is BACK! With our Slow roasted Lamb and Gravy Rolls,
Mudgee Lamb Pies and friendly service.
Come and say Hi to the Emeny family and ask about our farm fresh grass-fed Lamb packs.
**Fresh pomegranates will be available from Jessica’s Vineyard.
Carnivale have kicked off their winter hot waffles, to help warm up the cool mornings, as well
as having their range of natural ice creams and sorbet. ( Is it ever too cold for ice cream??)
Lydia will be at the Farmers Markets this weekend selling Garlic and other fresh veggies from Gooree Park gardens.
Maxden Orchards will have freshly picked apples. Mix and match the varieties to find your favourite.
Farm Walks this Sunday are visiting two farms, Karrabool Olive Grove, and SHORT SHEEP Micro-Winery & Vineyard
With just days to go before harvest commences, Karrabool Olives look forward to welcoming farm walk participants on Sunday
morning. David will explain what goes on behind the scenes to produce Karrabool's award winning Extra Virgin Olive Oil. As you
walk through the olive grove David will explain Karrabool's approach to sustainable farming practices and show you trees laden with
fat juicy olives. You can squeeze the olives and feel the richness of the oil on your hands. The walk will be followed by an opportunity
to sample Karrabool's EVOO and David will show you how you can make your own delicious flavoured oil using fresh herbs and
fruit. Details and tickets available on the website, or at the Information Stall at the markets.
Live music this month by Euripi.
